How come my clutch pedal doesnt go all the way back up.

Noticed the clutch doesnt want to return fully up. There is stil about an inch of travel that I can move it if I hook the toe under and pull towards me.

Throttle is starting to get sticky but I think that is wear in the alloy body. it seams to stick after its closed quickly so I have wound the end stop in a smidgen to hold it just off fully shut. Idle is normal speed so I think the IAVC thingy is doing its stuff as normal.

Anyone ever had the padal box out? I have a cracked bush on the throttle pedal. the clutch padal needs the anti squeek bush fitted as well...
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

I bought a clutch trunnion form geary but its all got a bit much and the metal bit isn't a very good fit in the placcy bearings so I didn't fit it. I'll dig it out if you want it. Get someone to push the clutch in and out and make sure it's pedal box end first before attempting all of that...

John

It sounds like the classic stiction caused by the nylon bushes wearing. Had it on both my cars, inevitable at 10 years, but did not fancy the work involved in changing, so sprayed with spray grease.

Dry slide is even better, but do not use WD 40.

Make sure that you get right to the top of the pedal fulcrum which is hidden, so squirt blind, and not just to the cable which is halfway down.
