Any good?

I hear they can cause some Ks to run lean high up? Could I just bolt one on to my S2, im thinking with my hurricane, sports exhaust and planned sports cat this might give me a little extra oomph.

I fitted one a couple of months back to my S1 111s (with hurricane & sports exhaust already fitted) & I think it is magic..

For all I know it might be completely shagging the motor but I doubt it some how.

I have heard that it makes very little difference on a standard car. I think that it makes very little difference, top end no matter what it is fitted to & I've heard it makes the S1 sport 160s run lean cos of ecu issues.

All I know is it has really improved the low rev "pick up/torque" (apologies for the american teminology) on my car & would highly recommend it for the 111s (£108 delivered friom the mg centre).

Pls note, I believe that the 111s heid is different to both the standard, 135 and 160 so big disclaimer there.

Aye - 111 head has bigger valve sizes (basically, the VHPD head is a 111 VVC head without the castings for the VVC gubbins.)

So, more airflow (with the bigger TB) should give better response, if the ECU handles it (which it seems to on the 111)

Certainly, I've heard of no actual cases of a standard car running lean with one, so it won't damage it.

Only other thing to mention is that, because light throttle openings make a proportionally larger TB opening, hence it feels like it picks up quicker. Some people claim that makes it harder to drive in trickling traffic, but horses for courses...
