:?: Is the oil filter you would get from Lotus dealer for 111R/S2 Exige the same as you would get from Toyota dealer for Celica VVTi? Due a 4500 mile oil change and I'd prefer to have same filter as MMC would fit just in case I have warranty issue and they don't like non "Lotus" item. Easier to ask on here than remove undertray and have a look at whats in there now!

then why don't you buy one from MMC? I mean, it could be more expensive as the one from the friendly Yota dealer, but at least you'll be assured about the warranty.

And.. as a bonus, you can pick it up, go the Yota dealer afterwards and compare them :)

Lotus price is 9.48 GBP + VAT

The filter has been changed back in januari, so they started using another filter. Could be the supplier, could also be the shape or so.

No brainer for a tenner imho.

I work about 30 seconds walk from MMC (hence the reason i'm driving a lotus!!!) and would be more than happy to pick one up for you and stick it in the post.....

Cheers,

Steve

MMC can deliver any parts to any garage in the JM group for free.

Simon, that is a good option, Belmont Vauxhall on Lang Stracht is JM I think and quite handy for me.
Steve, thanks for offer, I'll bear it in mind if no joy with JM Group.

Go for the deliver to Belmont Lang Stracht - the lorry delivers frequently and they don't seem to charge (yet).

I'm sure Darren (MMC Parts Man) will oblige

Now have received a couple of replacement oil filters from MMC - these are Lotus items. The filter on the car fitted by MMC in April is a Toyota one, so I guess there has been a part change.
