What discs should i buy?

Post by r055 » Mon Jul 09, 2007 6:16 pm

managed to fry one of my MMCs at TT07 so im gonna make the plunge and buy steel discs to dirty my victory alloys...

I'll do occasional trackdays - possibly 2 / year

Are these too extreme?
http://www.eliseparts.com/shop/index.ph ... cts_id=373

or am i better with these?
http://www.eliseparts.com/shop/index.ph ... cts_id=376

Also, Can i keep my MMCs on the rear?

I thank-you please.

The big advantage of the alu belled discs is that you only take a big cash hit once, then the replacement rotors are the same price as the ebc turbo groove discs. From experience i'd say the ebc discs are quite soft. I just put the nice alu belled ones on the front 2 weeks ago as replacements for the ebc's & as they wore out at the same rate as the pads did!

Go for the alu belled ones. You know you want to really... Just convince yourself that you're trying to save weight rather than look the muts nuts 8)

Cheers,

Ro55

Give me call,01506 497 157,or PM me.

If you are only doing 2 track days a year,Ally belled may be OTT,but do look better, down to budget and looks.

That photie reminds me of someone wearing a Saville Row suit with a pair of scuffed George at ASDA shoes.

The fronts aren't bad, you should see the rears.

They blend in with the duct tape and stone chips though.

Ross,
I'll take the mmc's off your hands if you fancy parting with them. Also if you want a hand changing them then just pop over.
Are you and Alison able to come to the BBQ on the 28th?
