Yup, I tried it on the run last weekend but it was too high (just got rear view mirror and no road). Had another wee trial and it's ideally positioned with the camera upside down. I just have to rotate the footage in the software.
The mount itself seems to work fine. No problems with stability and holds the weight nae bother.
I'll also try the 'helmet cam'. :)

Cheers,
Ali

I assume it's an 8:15/30 sign on I plan on passing through Dundee about 7:30 if anyone wants to meet.

I'm booked, Uldis and I will meet up. I need to drop tyres off to K-serious so will arrange where and when later.

Cheers,
Ali
Yup, also dropping off the tyres there so look out for K-serious.

Cheers,
Ali

Had a blast today, cant believe how much grip I had in the wet.

Pity about those cones though, they were a pain in the arse.

Edit: Hi to all the new faces I met today, apologies in advance as I will no doubt forget most of your names

Agree with all the above, the cones on the exit of the first part (right) of Duffus were too far over. I wanted to be 3ft to the right for a line into the left kink. Hence could never take it flat :(

New tar seems to have more wet grip Maybe just lack of rubber on it but where previously a shower of rain would make it really slippy, today there was surprisingly good grip on the transition from dry to wet. I nearly stayed for the hot hatches - only 10 cars out...

Cheers,
Ali

Yeah, it was a good day :)
Some interesting driving as usual but on the whole it was pretty good.
I felt like I had loads more grip through duffus, a combination of new surface and better tyres helped there I think. Pity the cones were out though. I really don't like those tyre wall things at the chicane though. The left one was fine but accelerating up towards the right hand one is rather offputting :?

I must be the only one who thought it was slippy then. Maybe it's coz you can carry more speed into the corners. But i was sliding with all 4 wheels thru duffus, and Clarks was a bit sketchy in the wet/damp. Struggling to turn at the left kink at the bottom of duffus without drifting/sliding over to the right, and hard to get it slowed for MacIntyres. As i said though, prob just have to get used to the fact that the car is probably going 10/15mph faster thru there. It seemed real greasy, and i only got a hanfull of dry (ish) laps in before the drizzle came on again.

As Ali says, the cones didn't help and were a bit off putting. Espacially when following another car, some of the cars in front were getting well close to the cones, and if one got thrown up it would make a great mess of a fibreglass Elise/Exige. :( The chicaine's interesting too as your basicly flying up towards a wall of foam/tyres/whatever it is, then flic/flapping thru.

Had a good run with the 2 maniacs in the red and black Elises  . They were having a good battle with eachother, even running off the track and passing up the inside at the hairpin  . Spoke to the guys after and they only use the cars for Knockhill track days :o .
