I was really shi7e. And very disapointed with myself on the whole day, but it did blow the cob webs off.

would have been good to have another go. I remember Andy in the Atom havin a quick time.

I was happy with my Brands lap times, I had 3 laps at the end of my last session 0.1 sec a difference.

Generally you cant compare times from different days. Apart from the usual weather related differences, the cones don't always end up in the same place either.

You'll just need to all buy 211's and go race scotty in the Lotus Cup Europe to see who's fastest.

Me, i cant afford that, so i'll just come along for the banter.

Head up mate - you did REALLY well at Brands - so focus on that. Walshys is about car control, not times anyhow

The cones courses with Mr Walsh - think my 111r time was 5 seconds off my 54 best, once he taught me to drive sideways :damnfunny The barsteward! 5 seconds and after 3 years, f*** knows how many sets of rear tyres

Ultimately, sounds like you got a hell of a lot out of it, and that was the point. I bet with all the excerises you did with Darren you could easily take a couple off it also now :thumbsup As the Ape says, same car , same day, driver shoot out would be fun :thumbsup

PS. If ever a course suited the Atom, thats it. Sprint, with bonus for sideways - i could be there for ever, and ever and ever :damnfunny

pps. Not jealous at all of the oncoming Race season...not much, no no not me honest...... :thumbsup

ppps - I also reckon it takes REAL balls to go and find out how good you really are - and thats what you are about to do - you have massive SE support, so get out there and kick some ass, and most importantly, enjoy it - once you stop you'll spend years reflecting upon it, and the fun, adrenalin etc etc

For Donny, fingers crossed Dan is going to come down, as we really need to get the car set up on the Friday. Looked into trackside assistance for the LCE rounds, but not decided as yet what to do.

I felt exactly the same for the whole walshy day and the morning of Brands. A lot of it was just being rusty. I also think its because your learning so much thats its not always possible to digest it all at once. It takes time to settle in. You are also pushed so hard by walshy that you make so many mistakes that you think you are driving pants. Even though your going much faster than before. Then walshy gets in your car and makes it look effortless. It re-calibrates your driving godomiter. Its always good to get knocked down a peg or 2.

As for the autotest/gymkhana part. We were driving like we were in police camera action rather than the car limits dvd. Im sure if we tried to be less lairy we would have been much quicker. I know my 4 wheel powerslides and your sideways drifting were not as quick as a tidy line. Much, much more fun though

Dicking the X-bow on slicks driven by the guy who was getting paid to race it is a good guide of how well you were going :thumbsup
