Hi all,
Saturday has made me really want to do a trackday and a lot of my friends from down south, who are all Seloc members are keen to try knockhill too.
My question is, how can you go about booking the track out, if at all?
Obviously Saturday was booked by SIDC and I note trackscotland have certain days.
Would it be possible to arrange a Scottish Elises / Seloc day?
If so how would I / we go about doing it?
Thanks in advance,
Woza.

Re: Booking Knockhill?
Phone them (Google is your friend - don't have it to hand), speak to Gemma, book track, get people to signe up, job done. Pretty full calendar though.

As above, give them a call
. Gemma is still on maternity leave just now, so is only working one or two days a week. Might be an option to drop her an email on gemma@knockhill.co.uk. Remember also that the prices quoted on their website are +VAT for the track hire.
Their calendar is quite full up for the year now, probably until end of September and beyond for weekend dates. SIDC have the track booked on 10th July and I think 15th September (need to double check this 2nd date). Tut has the track booked the track in June. TrackScotland have various evening dates every couple of months as well. It may be safer to piggy back onto one of these events until you get a feel for how much interest there is, as it's very easy to lose money (as we did last year) if you choose a date when lots of people are on holiday and/or there are other events on around the country that people may have already comitted to (e.g Lotus On Track series, BTCC at Brands Hatch etc.)

The SIDC ran the KH days at a loss last year?JohnStewart wrote:It may be safer to piggy back onto one of these events until you get a feel for how much interest there is, as it's very easy to lose money (as we did last year)

Re: Booking Knockhill?
Over the course of the year we covered our costs Matt, but the day in August which wasn't so well attended ran at a loss of about £600. It was just a bad weekend to pick, as lots of people were on holiday (or just going) and a few had weddings to attend etc.
