Two helmets and a full set of 48's please if you have room!
I should have spanky new rears on beforehand and half worn fronts. Might not need them if I'm gentle but at least they're the right size spares for you at Magny Cours...

I'll manage the required hairdryer, straigtening irons, many pairs of shoes etc... :D
I guess the crate of '33' will also have to go in the van.

 Might be easier if I put Nicola in the van... ;)

robin wrote:If you're going to break the journey then the Newcastle ferry might look reasonable on the outbound leg, though you would have nearly 600 miles on Saturday, it could be done in about 8 hours if you're lucky with traffic and no squirrel bladders on board, but might easily stretch to 10 hours unless you're prepared for some serious tuts on the autoroute.

The cost of the ferry probably balances the cost of the chunnel plus a hotel room?? They were advertising a 149 deal on TV last night IIRC.

If you're going to Dover, you've got 150 miles less to do on Saturday and you can avoid some potential bottlenecks in Holland, but you've got a long drive through Englandshire on a Friday ... good luck with that.

My preferred strategy is to leave very early on Saturday morning, get a 10:00 chunnel and then keep going on the other side ... but that might be too hard starting from Aberdeen - it's certainly possible starting from Edinburgh (done it a few times now).

Cheers,
Robin
We did through Englandshire on the Saturday for FF last year which was relatively painless. Friday could well be a pain... I think all in one go might be a bit much for the missus (extra 2-1/2 hours or so from oop north of Aberdeen).

I've pretty much concluded that Dover is best if there is a reasonable stint into France the next day (total road mileage is margianally less). Geordie express better for Spa and the Ring - I'll use that end of Sept with the 'Still Game'ers.

Uncle Ron and I are going to go SAS stylee (3am start) although I may go down Friday meet up, have a few beers, and break things up. Would then meet him Saturday morning at the Chunnel.

Decisions decisisons.

The prospect of Englanshire on a Friday, even with the welcoming slappers of Louth at the other end, does not inspire :damnfunny

Hey, hey! I sense an AWESOME trip coming on.

Think we'll trundle down Friday with stops then Holiday Inn at the Chunnel for £60.
Tesco vouchers only valid for trips this starting this side of the water...standard return still only 35 of your Tesco pounds. :thumbsup

Probably returning 6th/7th...

Not long now - that's the linen suit all pressed Image

I've got a bit of time off either side, so will probably just spend a couple of days getting down there, if I can find suitable Castles to stay in 8)

Will be heading back by The Ring if my car still works by then, sailing back on the Monday - probably the Imjuden-Newcastle ferry :thumbsup

Better get my 17 slicks packed soon

Cheers Image

Managed a last minute place. :thumbsup

Really looking forward to the 3 tracks I haven't done. Just need to get the car prepped now as it's been laid up since last years French Frolics. Need Discs, pads, brake fluid and tyres and an oil change. Not much then. Hope it's a bit cooler too as my aircon packed in last year.

I'll probably book the same ferry as Ed as it's cheap.
