I have a stage 1 sitting at 2bular Jim's if you find it's too loud - welcome to borrow.

As long as you do not have to comply with a drive by limit Graeme you should be OK. N3 usually measures around 88db, and that is with no CAT on. They do not know what engine type is in the car so they ask you what your red line is, I say 6500 so they ask you to rev to 4500, but I would still have no prob higher up the scale.

However at Donnie I have been black flagged every time and that was with three different exhausts on, and then I found out it was for inlet noise. Bloody ridiculous, as he was telling me this we had to talk loudly because of the jet taking off. For peace of mind though check it out as you have access to a db meter.

Hi Robin

Yes, staying both nights.
The ferry leaves at 5pm, so will have to go on the Sat. one.
Extra day spent, but hey, it will be a nice relaxing weekend :D

That would be brilliant, would hate to drive all the way down to Silverstone to find out I couldn't get on track. I can come round anytime (sure would give me peace of mind).

Cheers
Absolutely no way would I go without getting it checked. KH don't give two hoots about noise, but many of the English circuits have pressure from their local councils and residents to keep the noise within allowed limits and they will measure and they will kick you out if you're too loud. If in doubt, put on a quiet exhaust. You should be OK on intake noise, though, assuming you have the OE pipework and airbox.

Cheers,
Robin

it wont be 105dbs.

Mine was shafted with knackered baffles at it was only 94db. (in the 111r days)

105 is noisier than the Elise Trophy race cars - thats the limit we race with.

ps - you may want to look at ear plugs, as if its that loud (94), you'll be half deaf by the time you've driven to Silverstone.

This Sound Good.

Trying to send a pm, appears to be stuck in "outbox" Ive checked and deleted old items, so that's not the issue.

Anyone else had same pm issue, if so what do you do ?

PM's stay in the outbox until they've been read. Once its been read by whoever you sent it to it'll disappear

Spoke to Hotel, trying to sort out the Lotus room rate, so that should be sorted tommorow.

Looking forward to the trip

That might be a typo on my part - there appears to be a 10th June date at Oulton Park if that helps?

Are you thinking of going?

BTW, I'm likely to be going the Geordie Express route this time after all. It's slow and makes the trip much longer, but I am in need of a bit of R&R so that should work out OK.

It's not you, it might be them. It's in the calendar as the 8th but in the shop on a different day. I'll email them.
