Dreadnought fun

Post by David » Fri Jul 29, 2011 7:43 pm

Ever arrived at a track day and thought this is a bad idea? Dreadnought's last night fell in to this category. Once on the track my fears were confirmed - not so much heavy rain, but persistent drizzle that reacted with the rubber from the recent good weather to make a slippery time.

I was running on 15 inch wheels and the car was reasonably balanced for the first lap or two but then it went in to terminal under-steer as the rears started to warm up and give some grip. I just couldn't push hard enough get any heat in to the bigger fronts and became a mobile chicane for the rest of the evening.

Just a bit of fun . . . .

Yup, it was slippy, I thought you were going well but I was exercising caution when you eventually spun it!
