A very very COLD and wet Knockhill made this trackday look like a bad idea, but myself and Gordon made the effort and were rewarded by a surprisingly enjoyable day. It was good to meet a few old faces too.

Wet conditions at the start made us try some new A021 I'd bought for the wet, but we soon went back to the ZZR's as feeling the tread moving around was quite off-putting. I suspect at 0C it wasn't a fair test but we did learn that, in all but standing water, a semi slick is the way to go. It also confirmed how good our old 'wets', the CR500s, were.

The track did get a dry line towards the end but margins were small and lots of red flags as people, sooner or later, got it wrong - myself included when i took some curb at the entry to hairpin.

Video: A bit boring up to 10.00 but better after that although I still lacked any sort commitment. POI: 11.10 - scooby spin and my spin at the end.

Thanks for letting me borrow your jack David, it was much appreciated.

I was really enjoying the early wet runs, although it was pretty frantic with people going off in the first half hour. For once I was feeling pretty confident in the wet, the AO48's were pretty grippy in the wet and as you know I didn't get to see much of the dry lines. When my car chucked it just before "Clark's" we spoke to the marshall, and as I was well off the track and there had already been three earlier red's we said we'd be quite happy to wait until someone else caused a red before we were pulled back in as I knew my failure was terminal.

Hope to have it back in time for SIDC at the end of the month. That was my first Track Soctland day and it won't be my last, had a great day. Big thanks to Fee and co.
