Oulton park Tues 21st

Post by pete039 » Fri Apr 17, 2015 3:09 pm

Going to Oulton on tuesday with Kev. (Javelin trackday)?if anyone else interested there are still some spaces left.
Looks like it's going to be good weather, at least I hope so, otherwise will be a long drive in the 2-11.

Cool. Gordon,
As yet we haven't booked accom., we normally just book somewhere last minute and since this was a last minute decision, (kev's cars are never prepped and ready to go , they always need some last minute fettling ! ) we are even more last minute.
Probably heading down on mon. Afternoon about 3 or 4 (again no firm plans) ,let us know if you want to join in.

Kev just phoned to say he has booked Sandiway £64 and there is still availability on the premier inn website not (booking.com).
Let us know if you want to join in on the run down.

We did a Javelin day at Croft last year and the driving standards were pretty decent.

Mazda rotary club had taken over so there were a few slow RX8s (and a few quick ones!), and it was also the week before the touring cars went to Croft so there were a few race cars testing but I certainly didn't see anything to complain about and the event seemed to be well run.

I wouldn't be put off doing a Javelin day anyway.

Javelin day was very well Organised and run , marshalling was very good in fact the track day was one of the best I have been at and I am sure Kev and Gordon will agree. (Though the weather may have a little to do with that).
It was Oulton at its finest , good weather , courteous driving , (considering the great expanse of driving abilities but even with a good few race cars the standards were good ) and just well organised and marshalled. Sorry Robin but you missed a really good day.
If they can be bothered will leave Gordon and Kev to fill in more info.
