Andy,
Croft is a must.
Great wee track - book through Lotus on Track - spend the £25 for 1 hr tuition - its well worth it - my mate calum done that last year.
its an over night...... drive down in the afternoon, arive in the premier inn, few beers with the boys, meal, early bed.
leave 7.30 .....
home for 8pm ............

I'm fed up with Knockhill...... however, doing it anti clockwise is good

David
Two negatives make a positive but only in Scotland do two positives make a negative - 'Aye right.'

S2 Exige
BMW 435d M Sport - 375bhp..... and stops now (big brakes!😁)
Work Horse - Ford Transit - Full of crap spec....... 170bhp one :-)

Damn those southern english jessies - their loss as the roads up here are superb and actually enjoyable whereas the ones down there are full of knobs in 4x4's and Audi's, and that's just the women drivers!

Thanks for the advice re Turner's Autosport. Just found them on the map and have planned a nice little cross country route, that I hope will be a hoot, to get there from Perthshire. Any excuse to get out in the Evora...

As for Croft, yes, defo on my list for this year and the instruction is on there too. No problem with it being an overnight, I'd actually prefer that anyway. Also planning to do Blyton, Oulton Park (my mother lives 6 miles from there so a free overnight stay too :D ) and then a double header with Spa and Nurburgring.

Also, the wee village I live in is twinned with a place called Fleac in France, near Angeloume which itself is not far from Bordeaux and the Ile de Re - trying to convince the wife that a drive down there in the Evora for this:

http://www.circuit-des-remparts.com/ will be a great holiday. I can watch the races, she can shop and look at castles for the weekend, then pop over to the Il de Re for a few days on the beach...

It would be worth contacting him before going - he often attends rallies and other events so it is not always guaranteed that he will be open IIRC. :thumbsup

There is a Croft date (With Lotus On Track) in the summer, I would expect a team of guys from here will be heading down - usual script is an overnight before in the local travel lodge. :thumbsup

Hi all. Was in Glasgow for work on Friday so managed to drive to Strathaven to visit Turner Autosports in person. Not the easiest place to find in the rain, but got there! Steve was just brilliant. Took time to understand what I was looking for, tried a few helmets on, got sized (it's official, I'm a big headed b'tard at 63cm!) properly and all went well.

Well worth a visit and much better to support local businesses that just buying off the web all the time.

Thanks again for the tips and advice everyone. Much appreciated by this noob.
