Driving into LHR? Add plenty contingency Image

(Maybe leave with Ferg at daft o’clock after all Image)

LGW is a better shout if there is still time to arrange it. Simple access from M23 and generally been quiet or moderate traffic each time I’ve driven in Image
Flights booked and strong possibility that Pauline & Kathy could jump in a train out of Heathrow and we would pick them up at the relevant station.

Yeah worth a look.

LHR was famous for being poorly connected to the west although I think the Elizabeth Line has improved that.

Shame the flights are booked . STN also a good shout as quick access from M11. Next time

Some route options to whet your appetite but bearing in mind we don't have LoT hotels confirmed yet.
Some past history guesswork involved but especially the one Tue/Wed night on Cote d'Azure leaves routes a bit tbc.

Fri: Calais-Le Mans scenic routes D438 or…

Thanks for taking the time to do this Ali and hopefully our hotel location once received from Paul will be close to where your routes are.

I have edited this route to start from our hotel location on the day after the Dijon Trackday.

Both of the Tuesday routes look good. 👍

Your Hotel was the first location on that route. ;)

I'll probably stay in Dijon the Monday night as we have the Hotel already and saves taking kit to the track.
Early start Tuesday, 3hr autoroute cruise to Grenoble then decide route from there. Probably Route Napoleon, otherwise it's a very long day and I suspect the Hotel will be further west, closer to Le Luc.

I know, I just omitted your start point.

I will have a discussion with our group on which route we want to take too, but will wait until Paul releases the hotel location. We will have a three hour head start on you though, so we may just go the ‘Lotus Route’, but will see what the weather forecast is like too.

Hello,

For the Ventoux, i suggest to cross the mountain pass and descend with the north road, at the summit it's sometimes difficult to make a U-turn.

And this road is wide and smooth.

Enjoy the Ventoux !

Good spot Julien, that's the route I'd intended, descent to Malaucène. :)
South is the classic TdF ascent and would be busier, all the way to Orange via Carpentras.
