which Golf Gti - colour.>?
The dark one, not sure what colour it was but it had Irish plates I think. I spent half a lap pointing and flashing for him to move over and he eventually got the message and moved over going through clark

Popped over for a couple of hours to chinwag & blag some pax laps. Blinding day - blisteringly hot. I am currently sitting lathered in aftersun wearing a very wide collared shirt... Trifle pink....

Good to meet Jon & Yoshi from Scottish Car Club - Jon's Esprit was an interesting tool. Sure to be devastating when totally sorted. Chat, as always, was good.

Many thanks to DDtB for the loan of the cowboy hat & boots... Have developed a strange liking for the feel of cowboy boots, actually....

Oh, and good to meet Ryan(n)? Lovely lass - must be some sort of hypnosis trick going on there....

Top entertainment from Mr Andy Sticky Flapper Valve Gordon... Never though I'd see Andy come a cropper with a sticky flap..... :damnfunny

Stayed a bit later and watched the Rads & roadsport stuff on their practise session. Oh, they look good fun.....

Spent more time in the pits than I have all year! Gutted.....still at least the scenary was A1

Highly embarrasing to have people let you by and then have the rev limiter re-introduce itself to the equation - need to get it sorted - but may have to wait for Ali to come back from holiday as he suspects they will have to call Lotus about it :( :(

I really enjoyed myself on Sat, best weather I've had at KH for a while and the new surface really is great now that the cones have gone :D

Big thumbs up and thanks to John Stewart for organising it all as usual. :thumbsup

As for my car, it really is like driving a different car. I set the 48s at 23/25 f/r and stuck the dampers up to almost fully hard. That seemed to be a pretty good setup so I just left it there. Next time out I'll try sticking them on fully hard to see how it feels. The 48s really are incredibly grippy. Going throught the chicane they chirped a little then just dug in and gripped. The only problem with them I seem to have is that the front left wheel arch liner is rubbing but Mac's does the same and he now has a hole in his :P

I thought the SBS pads were very good too. They need a little heat in them to be at their best but they are miles ahead of the greens in terms of feel and braking performance. I didn't feel any fade from them and I was braking harder and later than I would've with the greens. I think for anyone who can't stomach the cost of Pagids but want something better than OEM/green stuff, these are definitely worth a go. They're a little squealy now so I think I might try and get the anti-squeal pads off my OEM ones and see if they'll stay on (not sure if this is possible yet!).

Now I've just got to learn to drive better so I can lap at least with Mac

p.s. funniest thing I saw of the day was seeing Andy, looking like he'd just gotten out of bed, trying to show Gordon Shedden (I think) his wristband on his right arm despite it actually being on his left. The look on Gordon's face was priceless

I wasn't having my best day all in all......then there was the car issues....all ways nice to lose power mid-way through corners....seriously sideways with no warning  :D :D

Still the pax's loved it, even when C decided to grab my left arm mid-way through apply some opposite lock and remove it from the steering wheel :D   :D

Tom.......I'm blaming you for my delayed and dishevelled start to a Saturday....too much time in Opal and then trying to persuade your lady that a Elise is the way forward :D

Simon, having paxed with Andy in his Elige and Ali in his exige, i would struggle to differentiate in overall performance between those and your newly modded 111s....

I am stunned by the handling and grip potential of the elise chassis.

My Saturday was even more delayed and dishevelled. Woke up at 12.30pm to find myself covered in car polish  . Eventually, with the help of Gill, managed to remember how said polish appeared all over shoes and trousers. Apologies for the breakage

Was a top night though. :D 8) Just a shame I missed the track action.
