All sorted but had to call the AA

Cross posted....
At least I got 3.5 hours of very enjoyable driving before the rear wheel hub spline sheared through. As usual S_E excelled, the wheel was at an angle of 30degs, could not call the AA from KH, so Mass put me on his low loader and took me down to the Baxter Food Centre at Kelty and a load of drivers came along to help out unload. At least I could sit in comfort and call the AA from there, however they did not have a driver that could take me all the way home in his hours, so they sent a taxi and picked up N3 later.
Home at 1815 with a £305 taxi bill, but a good ride back with a great driver and lots of banter.

Big thanks to John. Had a great day! Nice to meet a few more SE members and some SIDC ones along the way.
Re: SIDC 19th March
Thanks to young-child-logistics we only caught the final hour of this, but we all enjoyed what we saw and everyone we met was really nice to Eilidh and James, either of which was playing shy at different moments
It looked like another impeccably-behaved day with the now customary average of 40% Scoobs, 40% Elises and 20% [insert other random car]. We were all particularly excited by the 3 racing MINIs, given our recent purchase, and also the original Mini with ahem slightly tweaked drivetrain, full respek there.
Great to catch up with a few people albeit only briefly.

Fast on the straights, SLOW elsewhere. As expected

Re: SIDC 19th March
Biggest laugh Mas was that I lost my AA card before I got to Baxters.
Took it out of my wallet and put it in my pocket, then must have dropped it. Had to call Robin to get the telephone number.
