Got back at 1830!

John, brilliant day again, thank you for accommodating the viper. We did a run from pitodrie house to KH via glenshee. Wow what a morning for it. Not one car till we hit Braemar and virtually clear to Perth. Pete and viper behaved well, my 16 year old was shotgun in the yank tank. So that made his day. I needed new rear rubber, so gone are the original bridges tones and on are the ad07s. What a difference! So never got out on track till 10. Pete was in the paddock very early with a thumbs down, viper brakes went soft very quick, he was still learning he circuit and wasn't hard on them at all. It behaved well on the drive down I could gap him on the right corners but feck me does it haul it back very quickly when it opens up. He was a bit disappointed so gave him half an hour in the Elise, so he is now considering an exige.

Mike, I wanted to say hello but I can't remember what you look like... Actually it's my curse, met a heap of you last year and can't remember anyone.. Other than tut... Missed everyone in the drive home.

Had a fantastic last hour lapping with (Dave) in the blue dodgyR S1. Thank you for that, enjoyed that a lot. I hope one of the photographers gets both of us coming out the hairpin. One of the best sessions I have ever had at KH, thanks again [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]

Who had the White monster exige, it was fecking quick!

Nice photo. Your car was going really well today. Didn't seem much in it power wise. Decat must have worked. :)

Glad you all enjoyed the day, and the exceptional weather!

Time Attack Elise was driven today by David Brown who is a well known racer. Was putting in 54 second laps in the afternoon in reverse direction despite the rear tyres rubbing on the arches!

Took a few photos today, but won't get them uploaded until I am home on Monday.

Could have been a awkward photo if that hand was a few inches left.

Great day and good to catch up with so many people. Thanks to everyone that put up with me as ballast in the passenger seat....probably the most pax laps I've had in years.

SIDC at Knockhill, Saturday 23rd May

Post by Ferg » Sat May 23, 2015 10:55 pm

Another great SIDC track day. And the weather was perfect.

It was the first outing in the new car and unfortunately I only managed a few laps before having a pedal to the floor moment at the end of the pit straight. Some kind of bleed nipple issue but after an attempt at a fix (thanks Ron and David for tools) it happened again so the end of the day for me sadly. The car felt great apart from the no brakes thing... :-)

Looked like a lot of fun out there. That pic of the three blue cars at the hair pin is excellent!
