If you watch all 3 vids I think you appear a couple of times.

Scotty is a good friend of mine and we were sharing a room at the Premier Hotel for Donnie. He will almost certainly not be able to make it and I do not think that he has cancelled his track place yet, but will give him a phone.

In that case you are welcome to share the room with me............

Tut, I really like your R type Elise :D

How easy/difficult is it to upgrade the engine..? I imagine the brakes & shox would need to upgraded as well to appreciate the performance increase.

Cheers,
Pete :thumbsup

Really a question of money Pete. Several dealers now do the Honda upgrade, but it costs between £8.5 and £10K complete depending on who you chose.

Assuming that you would be using it on track as well as road, essential upgrades would be uprated rear toelink kit, suspension, ie Nitrons, Steve Butts S2's or similar, and brake disks and pads. Also R type tyres if you are going quickly on track and want to stay out for more than 8 laps.

However the advice you will receive on here is do not contemplate an upgrade until you have a fair amount of road miles and experience on your standard car under your belt, and preferably track day sessions and instruction as well.

tut

ps just gone back through your posts and see that you upgraded your suspension via B&C. Also you should have a few road miles in by now as well. A pity that you did not come out with me on Saturday to try the Honda first hand.

Pete

Person to chat to on this is Dan at JPS in Newcastle :thumbsup

He's done Jamie's and Scotty's from SE and a fair few more to boot. He also normally has a demo on hand.

Might be worth liberating a few more ponies from the K series before footing that size of bill (in which case Ali at SLS can help!) :D

Hi cat

Yep, just spoke to Scotty and he gave his place to Ed. There is also quite a large reserve list.

However if any body else has to drop out from S_E they could pass their place onto you.

Thats a fair bit of cash  I intend to run the car as it is for a while, & get some more trackdays/instruction under my belt before any upgrades. I would like to experience your Elise R Tut, maybe at the next SIDC meeting @ KH :thumbsup

Cheers,
