Long time since we had a dry, sunny day like that, almost T shirt weather. Loads of laps in and most with pax, track etiquette as good as ever, only noticed one red flag which was a good chance to re-fuel for the second time. Thanks to John for his usual excellent organisation.

Managed a 360 spin at McIntyres towards the end of one session which took me by surprise, then even more so when I could not correct it. Nearly happened again before I realised that for the first time I had road tyres on the rear to use them up, and 48R's on the front.

Now have to work out why the battery has decided to drain itself, it has been perfect since CraigM fitted a second engine earth.

Tut, I believe I've got that spin sequence - will sort out some more photos when I get home later today.

Not sure, re-fuelled at 1135, so John will have the time on his photo.

Yeah I remember you saying they were low. Any joy getting the car on two wheels? A lot more fun taking the touring car line :D
I was still going on about how impressive it was to my friend last night!

It was great to catch up with new and old faces. The R26.R was running well :damnfunny

Kenny & Clarkie good going, keep it up!

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Impressed with ClarkyBoy driving his Z4M, like a loon of course, but I only just had the legs on him. Looks bloody big in your mirrors as well.

A lot quicker than the M3 that was on.

Must be getting softer, but I take it easier on the car nowadays, as opposed to balls out on every lap, and have found that I am driving home more as opposed to courtesy of the AA. My pads were also getting low, advisory on the MOT, and though I bought spares with me, I did not want to waste time changing them. I wasn't racing, so track day braking instead did not make much difference.

John.

Many thanks for a great day. Absolutely superb.

Met many new faces.

Got Graham (Kinger) to show me how I should be driving an Exige around KH :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup . I need more practice.

If you did get Tuts spin captured, would be interested in same as I was behind him trying to learn from a Master of KH and was a little surprised to see the front of his car on exiting MacIntyres   but impressed he caught it all up with no real drama. :D :D

Roll on the next SIDC KH day.

First attempt at one of these. Think the image size is a bit too big as it takes a while to download.

Camera files suggest the spin took place at 10:32

I've also got the photo just on the exit of the corner, and you can see Tut has a little bit of opposite lock dialled in already:

This shot wouldn't normally get published, as it isn't quite sharp enough at full size.

Another cracking SIDC day, thanks again John :thumbsup

Damp and foggy to start with but amazing how quick the sun comes out and the track dries. KH does indeed have it's own climate :D

Clarky you were mental in the Z4M mate :thumbsup let me know when your first race is at KH, that will be worth coming to see :thumbsup :D

Kenny looking good mate, top effort, you'll be a size 10 in no time

Lot's of work going on a KH with new fencing and gravel traps, rumour's were that the track would be run in the opposite direction. Spotted this last night http://trackdays.knockhill.com/trackday.php although a Hot Hatch night (not for the faint hearted  ) hopefully a future fixture for SIDC/Hot Marques, would certainly give the track a new dimension :thumbsup

that was a top effort!

my first real pax and feel of what its all about....and some new faces for me and some i already know. the weather was boltic at first but turned out to be epic and dry....

a massive thanks to all who gave me a pax....names a bit fuzzy, but gav i think in the 08 red exige, keith in the 10 flo yellow exige and gooldie in the TVR and not least dom (aka KH taxi) :D ....all, where impressive ….and good to see different styles of corner entry...i.missed out on a few paxs i was hoping to get e.g clarkie in the Z4M. however, i can still feel the buzz from the day.

Itching to get out there and give it a go in the exige, will probably try and pick a day where there isn’t as many good racers out there....or ill be constantly pulling over :|

Scott….i hope the problem to the elise isn’t too bad and fixable mate?

Did Knockhill the other way around years ago - Duffus is a great corner going uphill and the Chicane is just like going over a cliff - well worth trying.
