My car is getting a quick gearbox oil squiz at MMC on the Saturday morning. Craig has kindly offered anyone else is welcome to a free check over before departure (best give him a call to confirm if you want a check).

Provisionally plan to head off from Edinburgh luchtime-ish. There may be the traditional launch BBQ (lunch/brunch) chez Gordon. (We basically chomp burgers and sticker up each others cars while Andy starts to pack, looks for his car keys etc...)

Well that's me almost there with getting on FF8. Booked the Holiday Inn at Ashford for the night before the ferry. (Sutherland was full)

Got the ferry sorted, cheers Ed. :thumbsup

Had a bung made for my exhaust so that it's a bit quieter but not restrictive. Just need to check my tyres, swap some round on the rims, possibly buy new ones, change the brake fluid as the brakes were going off at Knockhill months ago so don't think it'll be any good. Need to order brake pads also sort an oil leak and I'll be almost good to go.

Got my Euro breakdown to double check as my car has done about 5 or 6Euro trips with no major issues so it's probably due a breakdown.

Oh and since we couldn't get someone to watch the dog and the child (4 year old) Courts is probably coming along too. I can't afford a car holiday and a family one this year so we are combining one into two. Apparently there is a zoo near Le Mans so that's her sorted. :thumbsup

Bring on the bar!!

Alas as though FF was not looking too likely for me, the decision has now been taken out of my hands.

I have just got the date for my MRI scan and Specialist appointment which is the 11th August, which I obviously have to keep. However it does mean that you will not have to put up with previous situations that tut managed to get in, and it will probably reduce Robin's work load.

Pretty sure though that with the characters going you will have a great time and do S_E proud.

The poor child

Well, i washed the Mule last night - getting ready indeed - even tried to remove the dust and grit.

Now just got to make sure the company stuff is all sorted before i depart - why does everything always start going full tilt before you are due to go somewhere!!!

I know how you feel, always happens and there would seem to be nothing you can do about it.

That's a shame Tut but health is more important. :(

Thanks Andy, if I had booked the whole trip I would be really gutted, but as I could still have done it anyway at the last minute thanks to a great friend, I was still hopeful.

Who knows, with the advances in Medical science they could have me running around like a teenager by next year.
