Thanks to everyone for a great day. My cars sold and with shiny paint so we cadged a lift from Cheez n Gav, thanks for that. :thumbsup

Thanks to Colin for letting me drive his car, even with dodgy brakes and front wheel bearings it was awesome. Looking forward to getting a shot with the new brakes and Nitrons he has on order. Don't think Colin understands how quick his actually is.

Sadly the day didn't go smoothly for NE lot. Since no one has slagged Colin yet, allow me.

A convoy of Loti left Aberdeen at 6.00. Colin was stuck on the slow lane of the motorway so Chris flashed him to allow him to join the fast lane. Colin dropped a gear and floored the 340rr........ the wheels started to spin and ended in at least 2 360 degree spins on the straight motorway. The car came to rest on the embankment where we all pushed him out.

So if you see a blue 340r, keep well clear.

Sorry Colin.....

Tell me about it Andy, it was on the rolling road a few weeks back and made 245 bhp (215 whp) and that dynos figures tend to be conservative. Me and Brian (link up 340r) were on track at the same time and it was considerably quicker, hope he doesn't mind me saying that.

The wheels do spin when tyres are cold but its probably the best handling car I've driven. I'll 2nd the car limits session, give Walshy a challenge.

Traction might have been better with the wheels on the right way...least he had some grip when travelling backwards.

(I did mention that to Colin when we saw them on the way back) .

I knew you weren't amused when I drew up alongside to tell you that there had been an incident and you were thinking that I was trying to be another Colin. (Not easy when you can't reach the electric window on the passenger side)

Yep, Colin's blue 340R was very quick on the straights.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.
