I was 'surprised' when the marshall punted you and tut out onto track either side of me as I came down the straight.

Good fun watching Tut slide around every corner. The power/tyre/weather combo looked a handfull.

That was not me driving; just came across the video while looking at others. If you watch the start, IMHO the guy driving the car filming, jumps the red light.

Ah - I remember now. (I was thinking your car had a rather beefy sound to it there.... )

Thanks to those who looked after me and lifted my spirits again! And our dinner after in Dunfermline had great banter! Must do that again! :thumbsup Thanks for organising that Neil!

Amazing what a glass of wine can do eh Jen. Only kidding, sure you were driving.

If this was your first track drive, you've done great. You might benefit from some laps in something a little less powerful and little less pointy. Having said that, Fd's missus Nikki did a sterling job at Doune a couple of years back, first time out in his Se7en!!

There is no doubt that a line of cars behind you is a total distraction, so time the runs next time to avoid the initial and final rushes...with the straight line ability of the Se7en you can probably keep some clear track quite easily and once you are able to glance in the mirrors and know there is no need to move over, the skills will come pretty fast - especially because you are a girl and you can multi-task ;-)
I'm sure next time I'm out I'l be fine. The handling of the caterham is awesome and even though I didn't like the experience of being amongst 20 cars, I did enjoy driving the car so I don't think I need to start with another car, I just need to get out there. I really wanted to avoid being in that position which is why I wanted to go out in warm ups first. It was just a big mess-up though and won't be happening again, at least not until I'm more experienced. I'm gagging to get back out now! I know I can do well, and I just need to get out and do it! :thumbsup

Spot on Jen :thumbsup
I've had similar experiences a couple times when caught at the front of a train of quicker cars. I thought John's brief was really good on Saturday & specifically made reference to this, shame that this happened but you've already got the right attitude, just get back on the horse. It really won't take long for you to get comfortable in traffic & you'll tend to find if you let the queue past you'll get the track to yourself for a good few laps.

Your camera does not appear to be focussed correctly Mike.

It is clear on your hands, but not beyond the windscreen.

It's a mega cheap (and quite old now) Aldi special Tut, has 2 manual focus settings that I think I need to move to infinity. Might be time to invest in something a bit better.
