Just arrived home from a great time. Loved the S1, wasn't in the slightest bit disappointed. It was really wet a Donnington and Oulten, Oulten dried out completely in the afternoon shame I had to leave quite early.

Couldn't believe how much grip the S1 had in the wet and was amazing in the dry. That said I'm going to have to get my right foot re calibrated, no ABS on the S1 meant me locking the brakes a few times in the wet, and as Big D has the evidence of my off road excursion on Video.........I'm blaming it on the sh*t Mintex pads, was way better on a very wet Oulten after Big D sorted me out with some CL's

Really had a great few days in some great company..............Roll on Spazz

Hope the rest of you got home OK

Cheers

Great trip! Got home just before 8pm courtesy of Mr Kyle after the Homda Elise developed a fault at Doonigton.

3 epic sessions before it did though and magic fun!

Did mean that the rest of the trip was made memorable by the usual SE offers of cars, paxes, lifts and banter.

Loved the wet but made for some tricky conditions and a superb day at Oulton today.

Huge thanks to everyone for what was a fantastic event.

Also special mention to Craig (Craig Moncrieff Cars) who was almost on speed dial for the SE team trying to fix cars, solve problems and work out how to fix things.

Ferg hope you got back ok!

Great trip. Changing conditions were fun, not so sure how much fun being a passenger with a newbie driver was

Thanks to Stu and Kinger for the help with the pads............................

I was deeply hurt by my car being referred to as the V6 shed but I'll get over it.

First class SE banter as usual and looking forward to another SPAZZ.

Well what a fantastic couple of trackdays!!

Very few cars booked on so pretty quiet track which was great given it was the first time I've had the Elise on a wet track. Been hoping for a wet track for a while as I feel I learn more and get a much better feel for the car. So Donington was very slippy wet, then a dry line appeared then the heavens opened again which is when Mike had his moment and it was wet till the end pretty much. Oulton was wet in the morning and almost completely dry in the afternoon which was an excellent way to end the experience. :thumbsup

Great group of SE'ers as always. 8)

A damp Oulton Park with a very slippery 2nd chicane which was a lot of fun.

Great couple of days. Bit of a shaky start at Donningtin being black flagged for noise at 105dB after 4 laps (taking it easy, too) Need to rethink the 2bular track day exhaust I think...

However, swapping the Exige for the Caterham (which now lives in Leicester) allowed me back on track.

Can't thank Stu enough for the loan of the wetsuit and the car cover! (I hope you got them from the garage at Oulton yesterday)

Highlight was definitely exchanging cars with Mike for a session in the afternoon - I think we were both trying much harder than originally intended... great fun though.

Are there plans for a SPAZZ 2?

Make sure that it is the exhaust that you are being black flagged for and not induction which was the case for me in N1 and N3.

Bunch of fcuking wankers that have Boeing 737's flying over the top of you and have to kowtow to the Council and the twats that bought houses next to a race track, then complain of the noise.
