Fuel is without doubt the most expensive bit about a ring trip. We did a couple last year and I intend on doing at leats the same this year. Will probably do FF7 and as Ali tag the ring on at the end. (It's on the way home anyway) :D

Rough costings for a Ring weekend:

Ferry - £300 (necastle or Rosyth) you can go the cheap way but that works out about the same when you factor in the fuel.

Digs for say 3 nights around £100. On top of that you have food and drink.

Fuel getting there and back £250 and same again for 15 laps of the Ring so £500. (I use a quarter of a tank per lap) :roll: :lol:

Ring tickets £163 for 15 lap ticket (2008 Prices gone up again :( ). Obviously if you do more laps then it costs more for the ticket and the fuel.

So I get that at roughly £1,063 for a long weekend with 15 laps (not alot). Still food and drink to add on. :shock:

I would be up for a long weekend doing Spa and Ring. Was at the ring a long time ago when it was 2 quid a lap. It was awesome.

If you just do Spa and it rains..which it usually does, even on a good day..well...I think you would be a bit disappointed.

Not sure how to edit the list...

I'd love to go but I don't think I'd be ready for the ring, only ever done knockhill once :?

One major thing that you lot havn't factored into your expenses is the uber high costs of getting your car recovered to the uk if the worse should happen...just a thought
