Shug

The bullet cam that goes with my Archos 404 does not have a thread mount, so I presume that a clamp would do the trick.

Don't need anything fancy, so would this be suitable?

Most tracks don't allow suction mounts any more mate - another H&S new ruling.

That would probably apply to Donnie, but I should be OK at KH.

What is the other type a clamp around a bar?

Yup

Or universal mounting compound (gaffer)

At Cadwell, I took out the rear window and the roll bar cover and used the pax side roll bar cover clip mount to run some cable ties through - that gave the viewpoint seen in my cadwell vid - which I thought was pretty spot-on. Wouldn't be as good with a pax on board, mind you.

Some solid state stuff out there designed around extreme sports, but I don't have any links.

Pity Shug, I would have bought that no probs, looks to be just the sort of setup Iam looking at. Nice video by the way, that track looks good, nice & quiet too.

Guess I'll need to search fleebay, might be useful to see some of the setups other guys are already using...

I am going up to watch the Dreadnought night tonight, so might see some of you guys up there.

Cheers,
Pedro :thumbsup

Archos 405, the memory card one not the HDD and a dogcam hi res bullet cam. Needs extra leads for the dog cam and the AV dock but runs off car power and quite good pictures. All up a couple hundred quid. Mounting all taken care of with velcro.

I'm using and old DVD camcorder. The thing that makes this better than the Archos is that it has built in image stabilisation. Check out the video on my website. http://www.elise135.com

Better quality than the stuff I managed on the Archos.. now if I had the leads to connect the camera to the archos to use the archos as the storage device, that would possibly be the optimum solution..
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....
