Well, Looks like its going to be dry tomorrow :damnfunny .

If anyone else is heading down from Aberdeen, a few of us are meeting at the Shell Petrol Station just outside Bridge of Dee at 12.20pm.

See you all Tomorrow

Just apologising for missing the track day, was involved in a crash on the way to knockhill, spun the car on the way there with quite a bit of damage. Car at Arnold Clarks just now but going to get it arranged to go to Murrays or SLS.

We had an incident too unfortunately. Driving down Ellon Road past the AECC at about 25-30 mph, and our passenger side rear ball joint broke out of the hub and our wheel fell half out, bending the wishbones and damaging our newly painted rear clam!! We spun too so was facing oncoming traffic while Alan (and Chris G) tried to get the wheel out to see if it was fixable by the roadside then waited for a recovery vehicle to take us the 5 mile drive back to the house and charge £170 for it.

Alan is currently in the garage now assessing the damage before we decide whether to pay out ourselves or go through insurance.

Gourlay luck strikes again. Typical.

Thanks to Andy C (and Jamie) and Chris G for the moral support. :thumbsup

Alan/Jen/Kevin really sorry to hear that :(

The road condition was bad at places but the condition of the track at Knockhill was REALLY bad for the first 20 mins or so. Oil and grease everywhere. Never experienced anything like it before. Track became much better later though. Very enjoyable TD in the CR :damnfunny

Oh no. Ouch! Not a good day for us then.

Luckily, no-one was hurt and the particular stretch of road was a 40mph so no-one ran into us. We were lucky it didn't happen in the 70mph only a couple of yards before, or on the way down to KH or worse, on track, where the speed would have been much higher.

Alan has stripped it all down. The damage isn't as bad a first feared. We need a new wishbone, ball joints and throttle cable. Then once thats fixed, we can get it to our painters to repair the rear clam (damaged a little by the wheel), and a new rear paint protection panel bit (only just installed on on Friday!!). So I think we'll just pay for it ourselves instead of going through insurance. We're just a bit scunnered with it all at the moment, only having it on the road for a couple of weeks and now this. Grrrr!! Totally gutted we missed the trackday as I was sooo looking forward to seeing it on track. (And maybe even taking it out myself if it was dry-please say it rained?!!) hope everyone there had a great day though!
