Racing Events // Testing Schedule / Lap Records

Car Testing Dates
Sat 19th Aug 2pm - 6pm
Fri 1st Sept - Official BTCC Testing
Caterham Testing 6:30pm - 8pm £60
Sat 7th Oct 2pm - 6pm

Guess that means the tyres will be there again..

edit: (sp)
John, is there any chance that they can not put these tyres up until after the track day? They always say "it's just a one-off for the racers" but if there's testing on after every track day then it's not really a one-off. They really put me off last time and are almost as bad as the cones they started using earlier in the year. In fact, these are gonna be much worse if you hit them!

:thumbsup Good call Si.

The point of run off areas if to prevent a car immediately slamming into a barrier, if Knockhill are going to start bringing the barriers to the edge of the track its going to turn folk away.

Want to book but waiting to see if these tyres will be there. A wet KH could spell disaster!!

Those tyres in the wet would be fairly lethal IMHO.

I almost hit them in the damp!

They have an hour in between the sessions so should be possible IMHO

Are wheels around going to be there too?
Should I buy T1-Rs or just stick with the 48s for winter?

I'll check with KH a few days before the event. I'm sure if a few of us offer to put them into place once the event has finished, then there wouldn't be a problem.

Cheers

John

Or we invite a few hot hatchers along let them do a warm up session and that should remove the tyres

Then for the rest of the day we stick a blue light in the corner of the paddock and they will be happy
