Well I had fun,

Good to meet up with the guys again - got there in plenty of time for a natter in the paddock.

Took JJ out for a few sighting laps in my car, paxed for a few in his and then led for a few laps to show lines. Seemed to pick it up so dropped the hammer had myself some fun.

Was trying to be a bit more aggresive with the car, driving in a style similar to the way that Macolm did when he took my car out a few weeks previously. Think it work. Managed to chirp and squeel the 48's in most corners, and got my entry speed into duffas above 70. Playing around with the entry into MacIntyres - some time it worked, other times it didn't.

Took Jonathon out for a few pax laps with SimonA in tow, but was soon in hooligan mode with the tail out drifting at the hairpin on most laps, Simon sensibly got out of the road :D

Car felt quick - but I've no real way of measure, the other cars there - the black sierra (who was quicker in a straight line) and the japfest car (who was fast everywhere) where the only cars that I came up against.

Had a ball, thanks Brunty, but prefer it when I've someone to lap with.

Cheers

really good night last night - best weather ever at KH. Track felt very fast according to most of the folks I talked too. Lots of entertainment from the race cars playing around, especially the 'look no bonnet catch' Honda, pity about the long interval for the Fiesta though.

Great session - thanks again Brunty.

Must try and get out following you Mac when neither of us have passengers. I want to see how you take the chicane and clark as I really struggle with them. Don't think I brake late enough for clark and I always turn in too early. I was turning in too early at duffus too but I'm getting better with that.

Two of the most entertaining corners!

I'm hoping my car will get me lapping at post nanny mode pace again for the next one, so happy to get out there with you gents! :D :D

Simon - chicane is (was anyway) a case of taking more kerb than you think on the first part, and straightlining the second pretty hard too. Car will have a tendency to break away at the rear when it lands off the second kerb, but if you're on top of it there's no problems.

Clark is a tricky one to pick your turn in - but later is better. My gear ratios have always stuffed me here, so it's where I lose max time on anyone.

Agree with that, go quick enough and hope you catch it before the grass :D

Clarks is always tricky, but an awesome corner when taken correctly. I tried to follow FD in his 7, and his line was not overly Elise friendly, unless you like tail out 3rd gear 2nd cam action!

Lovely when you hit the outside exit curve and then 2nd cam hits at the same time :D :D :D :D :D

I exit both the chicane & Clarks in a similar fashion - mild 4 wheel drift with a tendency to oversteer as I apply more power

Plenty kerb should be used at the chicane, plus it's smoother now with the resurface :D

I reckon it's because they both have a "brow" which makes the suspension a little light  - but they're my favourite two parts of KH 8)

btw the Silver Honda (look no bonnet catch) is Alister McMillan's it is an ex Robb Gravett BTCC car so no wonder it was so damn quick when he could see where he was going. Just opened this week's Autosport to see a picture of same, he picked up a coupleof wins at Croft last weekend. Anyone try to follow him around....

The honda was seriously cool. I spoke to the guy in Pistons and Components who knows him, said the red Escort that was there last time is his too, top work.

He passed me on the motorway in the RangeRover with the car on the trailer (and I was doing about 80) 8)

I meant to say cheers to Ross for leaving a perfect Elise sized space between his cars outside his house. It's a good hiding place for the car whilst I'm at work :thumbsup

Probably won't be the last time I need to do that :P

No problem Simon, now that I know you take a "sighting" lap :)

You can't take as much entry kerb as we used to Shug, they have stuck a bollard in the line that our tyres used to take, I remember kicking up the dust in that little bit where the track ended before the kerb started. It's a shame but it's more of a skill now than a test of nerve.

Just posting up now as I can't remember who I've told already.

There is a saturday morning penciled in with KH on Sept. 16th, due to the cost of it I need to get a significant number of folks to put their names down for it.

There is no price down yet as I haven't had a firm cost from KH, but the more that come the cheaper I can make it.

Sign up at http://www.cemotorsport.co.uk

Cheers,

brunty
