Tight for time for me I think. 2 weekends away is tricky.......... Just realised that I'd be leaving on the Saturday anyway, will need to think about it more......

Don't worry about the VX's booked on see end of lap one on the video below, this was a few years ago but great circuit and would love to go back. Would've preferred a Zanvoort/Spa trip earlier in the year but can't have it all.

At least mine was caused by a genuine autocorrect on the phone!

Andy's was just wishful thinking ;-)

Another question - what shall we do between finishing at Zandy and needing to be in Orange on the Sunday?

Its 1100kms - approx. 10 hours!

Do we start after the trackday and make our way 3-4 hours south, stop for dinner and beers and find a hotel? Then carry on Saturday morning?

Personally I'd be tempted to try and do it Friday eve, Saturday (day) and be in Orange a night early? Have a rest day on Sunday and wait for the rest to arrive?

Thoughts guys? Don't all need to follow the same plan either.

I'll be in the Elise all going according to plan.

Would be fun to do it in the Evora but would kinda defeat the point of having an S1... and can't let the girlfriend win that argument!!

I'm happy to go with the flow after Zandy tbh.

I'd made a few points about hotels in Dijon area I think. I'll have a think about relative proportions of distance in eve vs day.

Didn't someone mention the motorail at some point too?

A quick Google suggests there's an overnight one from Dusseldorf to Avignon for about £200 which might be an option straight after the trackday or something?

Could even get it the next night and enjoy a night out in Amsterdam or Germany after the trackday too.

Dijon would be 7 hours from Zandvoort which is too far for me after a trackday. What about Luxembourg? That would give us 4 hours on the Friday night then 6 on the Saturday

Ahhh I remember now... it was a motorbike mag that was suggesting getting the motorail thing to get to the south of France.

Driving south on Friday is probably a good shout because it would more than likely get messy (or messier) in Amsterdam which would also mean a late start on Saturday. The only unknown is what the Friday evening traffic will be like. Perhaps Dominique could give us the low down.

A quick squint would suggest stopping somewhere between Liege (3 hours) and Bastogne (4 hours). That leaves a leisurely 6-7 hours on Saturday to Orange.
