Have sorted out my plans for dropping the car off at MMC now and plans with my girlfriend for our weekend away, so it looks like I'll not be at Knockhill til about 11am. Should be able to stay for an hour or so for a bit of chat and some bacon rolls! :D Oh, yeah, and hopefully a few wee pax laps too!

Just called Fossoway Garage, which is the Shell S/S at Drum, 5 miles from KH, and arranged for them to open earlier in the morning between 0730 and 0745.

They are OK for V-Power, so if you could all top up there as oposed to the Kinross S/S, it would be good for PR.

Will pop by for a wee while in the morning. I'm hosting a box at Hampden for some clients in the afternoon - champagne reception starts at 2pm, and continues right the way through till 8pm. 8)

Is that the high-octane stuff? I was told that I should just use standard unleaded petrol in the Elise. Should I be using the more expensive stuff? :?

it's 98 RON fuel. With your Yota lump, you'd be better with v-power (or any other 98 RON if you can't find a Shell) as you've got knock sensors in the engine.

yarrrr, yota engine is mapped to 98 ron.
the knock sensor retards timing to be able to run on lower octane fuel.

get some vmax - ull notice it better after a while :)

Which muppet told you that? You can run it on it, but more poke is available from higher octane fuels....

As much as I advocate the use of 98 RON at all times......
UK Yota's are mapped for 95 RON are they not? 95 is the reccommended fuel in the manual, as long as its used within its limits the engine wont see any degredation from 95 as opposed to 98?

Correct me if I am wrong punters.
