Quite a few of you on this video...

A few laps from my first outing, GoPro in the engine bay of the R8 facing backwards, works really well despite the heat...

Not sure who has the silver S1 at Duffus but very quick (Shug?) :thumbsup

Looks like you had a great day .....with a dry track as well
Lots of good pics and video clips

Jim

I have been passenger in a microlight that has landed and taken off on the start/finish straight
Back in the Eighties Knockhill used to offer this as part of their corporate days
The pilot was a bit of a thrillseeker , whose party piece was stalling the engine, falling out of the sky backwards then swapping ends so the pointy bit ends facing groundwards.....then restarting the engine.
I lost my breakfast in the pitlane after he pulled this stunt with me onboard.
He lost his licence shortly afterwards for flying under the forth bridge without the necessary permissions

Peter

Love the rear camera and the NASCAR soundtrack of the Audi.
I hope the fluffed changes were your fault and not an issue with your new box
:D

Mass

Your car looks a hoot to drive

Hope all you revellers have recovered and the RAC have finished towing the usual suspects home.

Morning Iain, definitely driver error on the up change while on the main straight...

Another video of a certain GT3, this was from the GoPro but there was alos the hi-def camera on the roof, hopefully Frazer will post a link once he's had a chance to have a look through the footage.

My money for the silver S1 is on (sadly not me but) Dom - great pedalling Dom :-)

Neat vid too, Peter (first one). Watching the V8 moving about in the engine bay is entertaining too.

OK off to watch the showboating on the 2nd one now...

Cool. Interesting to see Tut pedalling like mad on the last lap of the clip, desperately looking for a 911 scalp ;-)

The Audi is great as a camera car! Definitely deserves a larger circuit to stretch its legs though eh.

As per usual Andy and Shug laid on a great event both on and off the track, and this time even managed the weather as well. Looks as if everybody enjoyed the driving and the lack of a single red flag was testimony to both the standard and the etiquette of everybody on track. Although there was the odd spin and mechanical problem, the cars were back on the blackstuff and driving again or back to the pits. The two hours flew by and I think that I was only in the pits to change pax or have a quick cool down.

That was partly due to Craig, Danny, Gary, and ???????? who arranged for Ian and myself to go down early so that they could work on N1 and N3, so a very big thanks to them for both their sponsorship and work on the cars, so as a special treat I took them all out for their first rides in N3<BG>. I hogged most of the time with discs and pads changed, brake fluid change, new handbrake cable fitted, exhaust vibration fixed, and under trays put back on. Ian just needed the under trays fitted. Unfortunately he was one of the mechanical victims with a split brake pipe and no brakes going into Duffus. He did well to avoid the car in front but had too much speed to take the corner and ended up with a mud camouflaged N1. There is footage on Dave Logan's video of his excellent reaction in going off track to avoid the cars.

Thanks also to Scotty who went out of his way to trailer Ian's car to Murray's, and to Robin for chauffeuring Ian, Luke, and Attica to their Hotel. Even though Scotty arrived at the Rugby Club after the rest of us, he sure as hell made up for it quickly. The generosity of everybody with the raffle tickets and auction, together with the track money and donations, means that there is going to be a very healthy total to present to the Heart Foundation. As both my mother and father died from heart attacks, and mine aint what it was, it would have been my choice of Charities as well.

Finally, although it probably surprised every body as much as me, a big thanks to the Marshalls for their usual excellent job, and also for picking me out for the award of Brian's Trophy, though I think it was more for N3. Regardless I was really chuffed.

Well done to the AMP3 crew, another great day. :thumbsup

Sadly my clutch cable snapped in Dundee (of all the places ....) and i'm an erse that doesn't listen to keep a spare in the car at all times. Thankfully Chris (Cheez) was behind me and stopped to help. We made a cable from 3 brake cables (Halfords Bike section :D ) and 3 clamps, which took a bit of time but got us to the trackday just as it was finishing. Feel terrible as Chris was booked on track but insisted on staying to help.

Had a great night out which involved an insane amount of booz, going through every drink in the rugby club including Perno :puke and a Cherry mixed with Gin combo :puke :puke :puke. Ended up in the casino and didn't get to bed until 5.30am.

We all managed to be at breakfast for 10.00 (but still hammered), so spent the morning in Edinburgh Zoo (WTF  ). I liked the Penguins and Colin found some of his long lost relatives in the Chimps section.

Big thanks to Chris, Gav and Paula for hanging back and giving me a hand, really appreciated. I would also like to nominate Colin Murray for d*ck of the day, for driving past me (broken down in Traffic) not once but twice in the same weekend.

On the way home I refuelled in Edinburgh with Luke in the TT behind me. Drove a few hundred yards and he flashed me to stop, as my fuel cap had exploded off and been run over by another car.

Unfortunately although the cap was undamaged, the plastic locking mechanism had disappeared, and spares if you can get hold of them are rare and silly prices.

ps:- thanks to the flap, even with full fuel, there was no spillage.
