Lucky you with the extended trip, Steve. My long pass runs out about Sunday night I reckon ;-)

Seems the Routemeister may be back...

It's only about 30miles to the summit from Orange and I might even hire a bike if I am not too hungover
Just been talking about biking Ventoux. How hard can it be, only 21km...
but 1610m!

Currently looking at the options for the return leg of the trip. Afraid I can't extend my trip to go along with Gary and Steve for the tour of the Alps.

So I've been looking at the options, either dash to the tunnel on Saturday ( 8.5 Hrs) then travel up through England a bit before stopping for the night, then ABZ on Sunday. The other alternative I've been thinking about was to head to Dijon straight after the Ledanon on Friday night (Approx 4hrs), then up early and head to Amsterdam to catch the Ferry for 4pm check-in ( 7 hrs)

Am I being to optimist !!!!

What are others thinking of for the return leg ?

Haven't worked it out yet but my pass runs until Sunday night so plan to make the most of it.

Might not be far off your "dash to tunnel", mind you!

Just been checking costs for DFDS ferry to and from Amsterdam, the cost for the outward journey ( for car element of the fare) is £144 as opposed to £74 for the return leg. This seems a lot more than when I last checked, I was wondering if that is due to the vessel filling up or if it just goes up the nearer you get to the sailing.

Think I'll book the outward leg just now and worry out the coming back later.

Anyone up for a trip to Monaco on one of the days off?
It's about three hours away.

Sweet. I'm up for that. Never been and fancy a wee drive round and a nice lunch or dinner somewhere.
Got a couple of friends that used to live there so I'll be picking their brains about it.

The route on my satnav goes right past Cannes and Nice so might be able to plan a cracking day out in the cars :thumbsup

it will be good. Above Monaco you've Col de Torini which is epic. Monaco will be a traffic jam, as it August so full on tourist season.

I was half expecting you to say that you were just going to have another trackday in Dijon Kinger.

Myself, Gary and possibly Neil could be having a lap or two of Monaco early on the Saturday morning after travelling through after Friday's last trackday. It's a pity that I have heard that the tunnel has a camera now though. What times best for a wee run, 04:00?

I've just booked a return in June in the car. £593 for two people! Not cheap.
