That WILL break, had to mod something similar to this for a race car,was no where near as long, and it broke every race due to vibration.
I could make a batch of ally ones,6mm thick, and get them anodised for about £10 each,I will be fitting 2 of them ,one on each side.
Stephens idea looks good, but wont work with my diffuser.

Well,
E-mailed Russ Gibbons from Lotus Motorsport.
Russ suggested that some form of bracket be formed and attached to the subframe exiting via the grill about the difuser (he knows I have an S2).
As for the mounting the bracket on on the undertray he said the old problem could be that it's buried by the gravel.
So, there's no real reason why we can't attach them using the dome headed bolts on the undertray.
So group buy or would you be willing to manufacture for us Stu?
Cheers
Mac

I had an idea a while back (when I had a single exit JV exhaust on my 111S) for a towing eye bracket attached at the exhaust mount and exiting from the unused nearside exhaust aperture. Got some sketches somewhere...
I'll take a couple of anodised ally ones Stu.
Cheers,
Ali

It was for most of the soft S1 drivers, however myself and Mac managed to look the part and drive topless.
I'll have a rear tow eye if there's a group buy.

I had my bits out as well...
Group buy, count me in.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

Count myself and caterham (elise)kev in for either a Stu fabrication or the towing eyes.
Good fun getting back on track especially with the resurfacing which seems to be grippier and now holds very little water on wet days.

No roof s2 faction

I'll have a couple Stu!
Any thoughts on how to make them rope or shackle (Or hook) friendly?
I'll have a play with some rope tomorrow and see if I can remember how to splice.
Cheers

Stephen - my only (major) point about the jacking idea is this:
How many things do you need to get the back of the car up in the air for? How many of those need the tray off?
I can only think of taking off both the rear wheels to work on brakes, but the only time I feel you really need to have the back end up in a one-ner, it's for tray-off work.... So the jacking bar would have to come off, then go back on again.....
