I'm keen to get over this year. Where are the Scottish lot leaving from? Rosyth? Newcastle? Which dates?

Doing channel tunnel a few days before and coming back on the Thursday evening after the track session. I think Ali might be staying on to go to Spa to see Scotty and Andy racing.

Will watch on with interest though :thumbsup
You could always let McKeano or Mr Boag drive your 340r over, which would leave the track donkey untarnished for Spa?? :cheers

:thumbsup
...or come with me driving your 340R and get one of your lackies to trailer the donkey to Spa - you know one of them will need trailered home. ;)

I need beer buddies for the Geordie Express if the Still Game boys are chunnelling it...

Hi Justin, I also just posted on SELOC...I've found Newcastle always a lot cheaper then Rosyth...somewhat questionable 'charm' though. (Geordie stag and hen nights all heading for Amsterdam!)

Still thinking of the Newcastle ferry. It's a nice even break of the journey from Aberdeenshire for me and saves either an overnight in Englandshire somewhere or a 1,000 mile endurance event (both of which I've done before and don't really relish...).

The Geordie express wouldn't be the same without booze buddies on the boat though... :)

I'll be looking at booking ferries and hotels etc when I get back from French Frolic 2nd week in July...

Provisional plans:
Ferry overnight from Newcastle Mon 27th...
...arrive 'Ring 28th.
Track 29th and 30th.
Head over to Spa on Fri 1st for the weekend (will be awesome!)
Ferry back overnight Monday 4th (back home Tue 5th).

Hi Ali,

assuming this is the trip you mentioned on FFX for being interesting for me.
I've just send Dale a message if the black sheep of the Lotus family, the Opel Speedster/VX220, would be welcome. :D

If Dale doesn't play ball he might let a 2nd driver with me? Failing that you can at least make the weekend at Spa. :D

Just to update. I've still not booked, but am hoping to soon. Funds depending.

Can't help but think its expensive for taking a non-driving passenger? Its looking like £2k+ for a few nights away... ?

I'll thought Monday night boat out. Not sure when I'll come back, either go to Spa or may be racing at Dijon.

Ali / Malcolm

Have you guys booked out on the ferry yet? If so when are you going, Monday night?

Not sure of my travel plans yet, but will probably go for the ferry going out on the Monday night, and possibly the channel tunnel coming home?

Any other interested parties from SE? Should be a good trip!

Paul

I haven't booked the ferry yet but would be looking at Monday night outwards.

No return plans yet (the way things are going I might not come back at all :D )
