Very tempting but i have the engine to re-build and will have to fit a dry sump before i go anywhere near a track again. I can't see it all happening before feb.

just got an email from Jonny and he confirmed they WILL be offering a 3-4 star accomodation package if the trip goes ahead, presumably at an extra cost

Santander to Circuito Ascari about 600miles
Circuito Ascari to Jerez 60miles
jerez to Autodromo do Algarve (Portimao) 220miles
Autodromo do Algarve (Portimao) to Santander 660miles
Plus the return to Portsmouth 1160miles.

2700miles plus tracktime . That's £600-700 in fuel for the rangie plus ferry and accommodation say anothe £1k plus trackdays.

Probably 3k all up. But what a way to blow 3k :thumbsup

If I do it, I'll be fitting the long ratio gear box to Egor - maybe make 45 mpg, so 2,700 miles is 60 gallons, 270 litres or about 300 quid :-)

Cheers,
Robin

So who's signed up for this? Its now saying they're close to getting enough to run it. I also see they've got another Spa weekend at the end of March...

Just fit some 20 rims for the motorway (stick the 17's in the pax seat for the track). ;) :)

Having looked at the info that has been sent through it would be as cheap for me to have BAT ship my car across and fly out, rather than me trailer it across. Going to get them to give me a price for collecting the car from home and see how it stacks up.
