There a company called "legnedary circuit series" who have a trackday at Spa on the 19th - however they want E500 for the day!

I've emailed the organiser to see if we can get them to do a LOT price if there are 8-10 of us up for it?

Will see what comes back

Andy

ps - was looking at Snet for possible 19th of march action pre-Cadwell but no 2017 trackday dates released for MSV so far...

Just to add - found the organiser that Spa quote as running the 19th and emailed him also as Golding doesnt know them.

Also Paul is thinking about other cunning plans...

2 days at Spa might be cheap at £700 regardless..

It was strange driving the 211 , with 6 foot snow banks either side of the road . Cadwell is quite abrasive on tyres, so didn't have much tyre left after the day, and on the motorway to spa, about 30 miles from the track, we had a full on blizzard, no crash helmet on or anything. Think I was down to about 25 mph, car all over the place, fun ... When we turned off the motorway, the snow was rubbing the underside of the car.
the track was closed when we got there, but it was cleared by 1pm, and the track was running. They use salt on the track to clear it, it makes the surface a bit slippy, like driving on powder.

Not really selling it to me there Stu
It was awesome fun (with a windscreen). The Sunday was pretty sunny from what I remember. Would love to go back, but probably too early for me to book at the moment.

From memory, it's usually an up market trackday on the sunday, everything from F1crs to 2CV,s on track at the same time, with a free for all attitude to overtaking. I am sure Neil will remember "zee Germans" in the bar the night before, bragging about his Ferrari, and how he was driving a Radical the next day. We did put a stopwatch on him.......the VX would have had him :D
A few very rich looking Russians as well.

Remember it well - I'm sure the boy in the Radical got stuck in traffic . I also remember these days looking like an accident waiting to happen - everything from a Pug 206 to an 80s F1 car going round, porkers 3 abreast out of La Source, and the GT40 spinning out of La Source and narrowly missing the wall. Not sure I'd want to drive on one of them.

Well we have an opening bid of E450 for the Sunday if we have 5 people wanting to do Spa for a second day.

We'll know about the MSV option by then end of the month.
