OK dokey
I've just received news that the manufacturer will do a smaller run for us at 15 suits at the same £30 and so all I need now is your preferred size beside your name. And please remember to order larger than normal if you decide to wear them over your day clothes

Think I'll pass on the suit. If I take the plunge at this sprinting stuff next year I'll probably get one of these instead:
http://www.hthughes.com/Category/12/mot ... suits.html
Not too badly priced... bit more choice on style/colour, and they do bulk buy (Class 2 in black seems OK)... and they do tall sizes for lanky gits like me.
Andy.
I have no signature.

I agree that these suits are not the same as the one you refer to at £54

They're really more of a throw away suit just to let you have a taster.

Cheers,
Steve

These suits are not suitable for racing Steve.
ARDS is only neccessary or racing, so what do you have in mind?

aah, i was under the impression that to get an MSA license you needed to complete an ards course? Do i even need an MSA license to go sprinting??? I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to motorsport so any advice is welcomed!
Cheers,
Steve

Thanks for asking Steve
It really is so very simple to do a sprint or a hillclimb.
You do need a licence from the MSA but it's a simple form to fill in and self certify your health.
You do need a suit, which is why I'm arranging these so cheaply. By all means buy a proper nomex suit if you're going to do a good few events.
You also need a timing strut and an "off" sticker and so long as you have a BS helmet then that's all you need.
Our next event is the Lossie Sprint at the end of the month when we'll be sprinting round the RAF Lossiemouth runways on the north east coast.

As long as your suit is fireproof Neil, some Kart suits aren't, so just read out the lable on the back.
There should be spaces available

Thanks Lawrence. I've been poking about the msa website a bit further. Is it a non-race national b license that i need to do these sprints? What kind of timing strut will i need & where can i get one? Will an off sticker on the ignition barrel suffice - needless to say this isnt a race car and i dont have a master switch!
If i can get the license & car prepped in time, id be up for doing the lossie sprint if there's spaces left.
Thanks,
Steve

Yes that's it

Stu has made a few that bolt on with the front tow hoop, basically a 2 inch x 10 inch flat black plate thats to have its centre 8 inches from the ground
Will an off sticker on the ignition barrel suffice
yes and I can do you an "OFF with an arrow " sticker

ok, that's my MSA application off to the powers that be. Still need to organise a suit, new lid, timing disc and off sticker. If there are spare proban suits, can i put my name down for one please Lawrence?
Unfortunatly, I cant make the lossie sprint as i'm due at knockhill for the SIDC day. Does anybody know when the next one is? If i cant come along to participate, i'd be up for a bit of spectating!
Cheers,
Steve
