Difference in prices Campbell is that you have booked through to Saturday, I went for Sunday as well in case I stay on.

No way I could afford not to take out P&L.

No chance of snow at the Ring/Spa, but looks like rain on Friday and Saturday, and Spa dry for half of Sunday.

Anybody still thinking about Sunday, remember that I can get it for you for £105 if booked before Saturday.

I've got my Wet Setup on already. Some of the best wet weather tyres around, "soft" S2 Bilsteins...oh, and a new waterproof jacket :-)

I always felt the rain was a good environment to learn in, so if it really is wet, I'll just make the very best of the experience, to be honest.

Spa Track guide - light on detail but the virtual lap seems quite useful:

Real lap in an M3:

From an R8:

And, to put it all in perspective, from Alonso's McLaren:

This one is quite educational:

What time are the Walshy dayers leaving North Weald for the Tunnel?

Me and Dom are planning to leave Glasgow early on Thurs to meet you guys there and hopefully catch the end of the sprint session to offer moral support

I'm going to be working from North Weald if i can find my wifi dongle, and possibly giving the R400 a run out.

Walshys picking me up at 820am Thursday morning at Standstead, as all cars and trailer are already down there.

RR is towing the R400 out there.

Then we're waiting for Uncle Ron to arrive in the evening, then dinner, then down to the tunnel for our mid-night crossing - then straight for the Ring.

Cant bloody wait :thumbsup

Anyone wanting us to carry kit between the Ring and Spa, should be fine to throw it in the RacePod

Very jealous, as it turns out it would seem that I'm unlikely to have a car anyway..

Looking forward to FF though!

Have fun and be safe (ish) :thumbsup

Me and Ed are heading out on the 6.20am Chunnel on Thursday morning to get to the ring for Thu lunchtime. Chill out and soak up the atmosphere, maybe a test lap before the trackday on Friday. Or maybe just get some sledging in.

I'm taking slicks for spa just incase it is dry.  Although I've just noticed on the info that if you use slicks you have to have proper rollover protection, is a roof proper rollover protection? :?

Edit: Spoke to Book-a-track, slicks are not allowed unless you have a roll cage which seems rediculous. If it's dry there is absolutely no point in me going on as the road tyres wont last. Seems a stupid rule that slicks aren't allowed on a trackday, I never even thought to ask. Oh well I'll just have to use my bald r888's cause they'll be much safer.

Google Maps says it's 1 hr 30 from N Weald to Folkestone. Through rush-hour, I have a worry that this will be more like 2 hrs +.

Latest checkin for our 18.50 Shuttle is 18.20, so I will guess that we need to make ready to leave N Weald by 4pm. However I don't have the details of the Walshy Day to hand, so don't know if it will be finished by then  Kind of assume it will, due to daylight fading, but who knows.

The whole of the next few days is like a blur already and it hasn't even started yet!!
