Re: The Murray Lotus & AMP3 Charity Trackday 2011!
Colin, we broke down further up Anderson drive, just before the lights at gt western road/north deeside road. Alan tried to wave you down but you drove right past. We got home finally at around 9.30/10pm

Cheers Mass, looks like Im not holding folks up as much as I used to. Still need to stop bottling it at the chicane.Modena Scotland wrote:Mike you are in my video too. Click the previous link.
Cant believe after telling you I was going to take it easy then slowly build up speed that I spun first lap

Re: The Murray Lotus & AMP3 Charity Trackday 2011!
yup - as you could see from that clip the 4wd R8 just shot up the straight, with Peter enjoying it so much i then had to put the foot down to catch back up!
And as Peter says, wait till you see the one of them chasing me - you get a bit more perspective on how wayward it really was
Not sure I've ever driven on worse rears in the "widow-maker". Magic fun, but once they started delaminating, realised it was time to calm down a bit. Ah well, new R888s for the track should help!
Brilliant day, brilliant support, and a slightly different ending for me! Back to see how the baby sitting was going instead of making it to he club!
Thanks again to everyone for making it such a great day - roll on 2012.............but not too soon
Got me thinking that if there was a late SIDC or similar in the year, we could combine to make it the SE Xmas night out?

Well guys - thanks everyone once again!
Trackday was brilliant - I was honestly a bit concerned with the number of cars and the differing speeds, but everyone was so brilliant with their awareness and courtesy that it didn't prove an issue at all. A little luck, of course, also involved as there were a few offs, but these never shut the track - brilliant work everyone!
The Auction and raffle was brilliant - not quite sure what the raffle raised, but was at least £750 and probably a good bit more. Top craic and some of the states of peeps by the end of the night was just spectacular
Special thanks to Mark MacKenzie for all the help during the day - tirelessly taking care of the unglamourous things like sign-ins, herding paxes and much more. Great work mate! Also, thanks to our glamourous raffle ticket sellers press-ganged in at the last minute - Holly and Jen, superb work! Also, goes without saying that the boys from MMC who came along had their work cut out for them with an N3 TUT rebuild in the pits before the race and were kept very busy with little issues all through the track session - thanks, one and all!
I have a rough total from the auction - and it's a good one. From the notes taken on the night, we're sitting at a truly brilliant £7040 just for the auction! There's more to come as well as donations from suppliers etc, so I think we can safely say at this early stage, that we blew past £15000 pretty comprehensively.
More to follow in due course, but for now: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Very good point mate - some of the behind the scenes team at Amp3, and Clare (my wife) also need some thanks for managing everything in my absence (and looking after the wee one!), tracking down prizes etc.Shug wrote: Special thanks to Mark MacKenzie for all the help during the day
Thanks also to our suppliers, and friends, who help so much with the auction prizes!
As for the auction total, new it was high, but Shug took my note pad!!

I see, I got you Paul. It belongs to a guy called John. He isn't on the SE.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Another video of a certain GT3, this was from the GoPro but there was alos the hi-def camera on the roof, hopefully Frazer will post a link once he's had a chance to have a look through the footage.
