fcuk awesome fun. Still giggling about my pax lap with Andy; watching Paul get black flagged for his 5 spins in 4 laps, and for seeing Tut & Scotty zip by making a Marshall shout, "black flag ... BLACK FLAG ... Have we got a BLACK FLAG!!??"

Look forward to reading the reports, and seeing the pics. Cracking night out on Sunday, great day Monday. Bring on the next one :thumbsup

Scottydog, did you get back ok for your gig?
Aye, got in at 7, dinner was on the table, quick shower, changed, and out. Didn't get in till 0030, and on a school night, too.

Shame about the pishin rain all the way back up the road. Oh, and if we'd planned ahead, we should have gone for Newcastle, and along the A69, rather than the 66.

Brian here, the guy who spent most of the time under the bonnet of his car, the black MNR....
Just wanted to say thanks for a gr8 day. Trip home was interesting in the pissing rain and wind, but my heated waistcoat came in handy.

The lower wishbone dropping off up the long straight and the minor electrical fire added to the challenges of the day and getting home.

Think the worst bit though was that the STIG, who sold me the helmet, must have recently cleaned the visor with fairy, so just by carlisle, having chosen the a69 for a traffic free run home, the rain starts, then the sealing strip gets wet, then at 80mph my helmet fills with big bubbles, they burst and i can't see....

and to think the stig uses fairy!!!

thanks again, anytime you are short brian and i are keen. afterall i do have lotus seats in it.

drive safely.

Neil...you should of taken that van of yours on track. I've never seen you drive so fast when you passed us on the motorway :D

Top awards to Scotty. Pax'd with him with my life on the line :D
I'll never be able to drive like that on track. The bottom bend on opposite lock was pretty impressive...

The posse got together at HIllend, causing on minor disruption to traffic, and after everyone arrived, we set of down the A68.

Despite knowing the road pretty well, I managed to give Shooomer a scare and toxicate Scotty and Tut (this is pre-pub) after having to break a wee bit hard for an on coming taxi - still was suprised at how easily i locked the tyres and how little retardation came from it.......

The rest of the journey was pretty uneventful. A possible record Lotus turnout at Dans, which amused everyone, and Ed was beaming as he was reunited with his car!

Off we went from there to the Hotel, and then the hunt for food.

We had a great laugh in the bar, scared off some locals, Tut glanced at a few grannies, and the rest drank and laughed with stories and car focused banter.

Awoke the next morning to see people up and already out prepping cars! At 7am. Was then told someone had been to get their car washed...WTF...Shug would have been ill at this point had he made the trip!

After a lot of duking about in traffic jams, Si with Dave navigating (honest!) got us to the track on time. Bacon rolls where on the way soon after and the briefing was suitably brief and friendly.

Headed out to the track, and felt it was really like a big go-kart track. Could see whay the 7's had a day here, and why Ross raved about it.

As mentioned in my shed post, my Shed was sideways all day, which was great. Scotty was driving Dans car, and managed to smash the rear window......how?

Shooomer getting black flagged int he shed was awesome, and apart from his first 2 spins i missed them :( Sign of effort. Marshall told him after being black flagged it would cost him £150! When asked as to why, he was told, for the f***ing driving lesson you need :) :) Clearly the marshall was not a rough lover.

Was impressed by the standard of driving though, and by the good spirit and fun that was present all day. There may have been some gentle ribbings, but it was all in good humour and some of the spats on track where hilarious!

One stick with me where i passed Kenny and DDTB and they tailed me for around 15 laps. I think i had Greg R as pax. Obviosuly this meant I had to spend as much time sideways as possible.

Apologised to Kenny for not letting him back past, where he informed me that he'd no desire to pass as he was crying with laughter watching us! Dave was in similar good spirits.

Thought the track virgins did well, happy to get out of the way, and didn't even complain when i passed at a slightly incorrect angle.

Tried to entertain Tut and Neil P by passing them and then spinning, but the thumbs up showed that they appreciated my spirited lunacy.

The rain came in just after 3 and as we got closer to 4 Mr Paine, who had defied the sweepstake and hadn't broken his car, when out with a pax. Lap 1, spin...lap 2 spin, lap 3 spin...and so on. Bald A048, wet track and massive grunt and the red exige was all over the place. Funniest bit was one of the marshalls asking over the radio for us if the Red one had spun ...the reponse, "again!"

Went up the road in convoy, and was aware a few times that the only thing on the road less stable than the back of Ed's car through standing water, was his arse. It looked hairy. The SC was used to good effect though and we romped up the road with a little yellow VX in tow (sorry i forgot your name :()

Shattered today, hands sore and blistered from steering to much, and the video is going to be edited soon I promise.

Uber barge goes in to over drive tonight though...SAS mission - update tomorrow if concious

Most greatly over-used phrase of the day, but just brilliant......

"Rough Love!"

Cheers Andy, I was dying to get out again with you, but most people had cottoned onto your loving technique by that point and drivers were leaving their cars to get in yours!
