For anyone taking the Chunnel remember you'll need to pay your M25 Dartford Crossing toll before midnight to avoid a fine.
The toll apples 6am - 10pm and costs £2.50 for a car, payment via the website or some local shops.

Good point. 8)

I usually go the other way round the M25 to avoid Dartford altogether. Seems to take the same time or less. :D

Nope they've removed the toll booths so you either need a tag or have to pay online.
Other thing you need to do with the Chunnel now is fill in advanced passenger information online rather than just turn up and flash your passport.

Gents just back from Europe on the Geordie Express, big queues checking all passports due to the recent terror attacks. Sanef box I got from the UK company arrived v quickly and was uber helpful, cannot understand the Frenchies not using them much. Weather was awesome and starting to get v v hot, 35 on Sunday...

Did not spot one cop car in 2200 miles of travelling through NL, Belgium, Lux & France :)

Enjoy.

Using headphones or earphones.

How will S_E deal with that?

Yep, keeping them under my hat.

Sanjoy didn't spot any Le Rozzers so probably just common sense and don't make them obvious.
All characters appearing in this post are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.
Any references to laptimes, speed or driving on the public highway are purely for dramatic effect.
