Dunno but John Stewart got in touch with the Melville club and they said they would only go through Javelin. Not sure why, would surely mean more money for them if days were organised by clubs rather than a business.

I would like to go back but I think £120 is steep for a place with no facilities to speak of and a lack of decent access for drivers and spectators. Having to wait an hour to get in/out of the paddock is pretty useless IMO.

I agree - If they could be persuaded to do it again for £89 though, different story

i think from what i could gather from pre race chat from javelin, there was a lot of chat about how Melville wanted to keep the track in perfect condition and unless it was run by an organisation like Javelin with marshalls and pre race chat then they felt it wouldn't run smoothly.

I guess it is down to the amount of money the pricately run melville club have spent on the new areas of tarmac.

I see javelin have registered on here, perhaps just the photographer, but it looked like it was the club?

Dave

I would have said that £120 for a full day is quite good especially since you get a free second driver too. SIDC half days at Knockhill are £80. IMHO Javelin did a very good job, if a little on the strict side with some. :D
