How long should it take to drive to Croft from the central belt? Multi-map route tells me just over 4 hours but that seems long. Staying overnight isn't going down well at home as it's the wife's birthday and I'm talking about disappearing for 3 days.
Was considering driving down Saturday morning, doing the day, then back up the road that evening. Would that be a bit much considering its a full day event ?

Edinburgh to Croft is about 145 miles via the A68, so no more than 2.5 hours.

I had a mail from Paul today that KH is now up also. He has made both tracks the same price at £140 but we get both for £250, plus free membership to LOT.
The Database is at
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/tuttowers/database for anybody that would like to add their details. This is just for my/our own benefit, booking is done on LOT.

"Hi tut
Hope you’re a little better??
I’ve just put 30 odd t/days live today and JUST done Knockhill…
I’ve gone at £140 with Croft also at £140.. if anyone books both they get them for £250 so £30 off..
If anyone on Scottish Elises wants to join LOT, email them a code of n1tut and if they put it in the discount code field they will get FREE membership – so £30 off…
I hope this all makes sense. If required I can set up a separate payment page for SE’s but they may as well have free LOT membership… or I can take a cheque if they write event and name on the back.
This should be great…
Regards
Paul Golding"

Did you tick the select Croft option on the Knockhill booking? I am only confirmed on the KH list but not on the Croft one, although paid for both. Presuming Paul has to update that manually?

Ok for me.
Genuine question, but what group would I be best selecting bearing in mind having done about 60 trackdays but never Croft, I am thinking intermediate?

Kenny
It does not matter that you have not done Croft, I have never seen it either, but with your experience you are intermediate/advanced. If it was the Ring I would probably put myself down as a beginner, but a normal Circuit does not take long to know if you have the experience
I have not actually put my name down yet, Paul must have done it for me, but that is the Group that he has put me in. In the Scottish Sprint Championships you go to Circuits that you have never seen before, and after two practice laps you are then faced with driving it flat out.

Yeah but with some 300/400 bhp per ton cars on track as well as a sprinkling of LOTRDC drivers I was thinking I might be better in intermediate
