I haven't booked the ferry yet but would be looking at Monday night outwards.

No return plans yet (the way things are going I might not come back at all :D )

Malcolm
Malcolm, are you booked on the ring trip? Can't see your name on the attendees list, only Dutch Bob, Aberdeen Ali , and myself?

I've not booked ferry or hotels yet (would think the llamas at 'Ring and somewhere at Spa?). Monday night Geordie express seems favourite...

Ali/Malcolm

I am just about to go live and book the outgoing ferry for the car and trailer, going out from Newcastle on the 27th Sept. I will also book the a la carte restaurant for 8pm? Gives us time for a few beers beforehand!

They seem to have some good deals on for a 5 day return package, however, as it would be too tight to catch the ferry on the Thursday night, it would have to be the Friday night. That being the case, I think I might just come back via channel tunnel, and stay the night with my daughter in London.

I would have done the Spa trip with you, but now that Scotty and Andy arn't competeing, it doesnt hold much attraction!

I think I will book the Sonnehof for the nights of Tuesday 28th /Wed 29th as well, if you guys are up for that as well?

The entry list is looking good, but could do with some more SE'ers. Trying to persuade Mr Boag to come along if he gets his finger out of his Ar** and buys himself a car!

I think I'll do Monday out Friday back.

8.00 a la carte sounds perfect as does the Sonnenhof.

Still away with the boats but I'll sort it out when I get back.

Should be a good trip.......,.

I've been to the ring last weekend ( lots of rain with slippery laps inbetween)
had a word with Ron ( RSR)
Dale left RSR, but all is defenately going ahead, even is there are just 35 cars booked so far ( nic and quiet !!!! )

there will be no noise issues like last year at the GP track because we will now be there in daytime (last year it was in the evening, so then with noise restrictions)
also more time at the GP track :)
Ron "might" book the whole Pistonklause for dinner in stead of the tower restaurant - cheaper and I find that better :)
all together, it all looks very good :D

see you there
Bob

Only 35 cars, that will be fantastic and quiet, last year there were 72 cars.
I wish I was able to go this year, have fun you lucky people.

Ferry booked for 27th and return on 1st.

If you could sort out the hotel Paul that'd be great.

Cheers

Will go for that too then Malcolm.
Are you on your own? Cabin share would save easy £100...

I just checked Sonnenhoff online and it's full 28th and 29th...

Burgstrube was fine enough for the boys last time, short walk to track and Pistenclause. Cheap as chips but might not be up to snuff for Herr Gibson...

What are you thinking Malc, stay night of the 30th too or leg it for Hamsterjam? I'm also happy to share rooms...

Just back from hols myself, having spent most of the day at Palma airport courtesy of the bloody French traffic controllers!!

Ali/ Malcolm, can you just confirm your exact itinery/accommodation so I can get booked as well. Ali, are you going on to Spa, or coming back on the Friday night ferry? Malcolm, if you are booked on Friday ferry home, what are your plans for killing time on Thursday/Friday?

Still in two minds wether to take the 340 over complete with trailer, or just take the Elise?

Bob, is there not a risk that RSR might pull the plug on this if they don't get the numbers? Surely they must be heading for a serious loss with only 37 cars?

Looking forward to it one way or the other!!
