SPA later this year

Post by ceejam » Fri Nov 11, 2011 6:47 pm

So, currently in the bar at the Burgstube with Martin.

We left Joppa at about 9.15pm, encountered some fog on the A68 but made the Chunnel by 5.20am. We arrived at Nurburgring at 1pm, had a wander and found everything.

We got checked in with Martin & headed down to the circuit. I ended up with 20 minutes on the Grand Prix circuit which was good fun. The Nordschleiffe was officially closed, but I found the entrance and the organiser and wangled two laps for 45Euros.

What an AWESOME experience!

:-)

Jammy dodger. Tremendous.

Pass my best to Martin at Burgstube (you can reassure him Walshy isn't going this year), be sure to eat at Pistenklause if you are staying long enough, and if you happen to see Sabine Schmitz...say "hello" from all of us here at SE especially Tut of course!

It must be about a year to the day we were all headed for Spa for the previous assault, and what an experience that was. I know exactly what you mean Jamie. Enjoy!

WOW! AWESOME!
Spa is more than a bit tremendous!
Had a great day, met a Belgian with a Black RHD S1, and a German Lotus XVII, both of which I had great fun with.
Well impressed with bookatrack's approach aswell as the AWESOME circuit.
Hotel de la Source is more than a bit Swanky too :)

Just 700 & odd miles to get home tomorrow ;)

Their photopack of my trip was well worth the money too. Great memento.

Glad you enjoyed it. All you have to do now is get home. Thankfully no snow forecast this year ;-)
