I wouldn't be too pessimistic - the sun it quite high at this time of year so it'll melt quickly if it gets out. It'll be down to Friday night and if there are any snow showers. The forecast looks OK in that respect. :thumbsup Running it a couple of hours later may be idea!

Had a look at the MET and it seems to be ok for sat. The track had some snow on it last night and has almost completely cleared already. I would enjoy the slicker track, even if they have to start a little later...

http://webcam.knockhill.com/ shows the track is fully clear again, however there is still snow in the run-off areas which is still deep in places. The staff are working hard to clear this snow in time for Saturday morning, and at the moment Stuart reckons it is 50/50 for going ahead, which is a big improvement of about 10% from a few days ago.

I do not have to pay for road tax, but I have a form to take to the PO which covers four years. This had now been filled in so called DVLA for a new one well before my tax expired. It never arrived so they arranged to send me another one. This arrived two days after my MOT expired.

Took N3 into John Duthies for the MOT, and it needed a new front number plate, wheel bearing, and hazard warning switch. Arranged those parts, then learnt that a headlight was cracked, and a wishbone bush was worn. I have a new headlight so no problem, but no way that I can get a new bush in time. Will check tomorrow whether I have a good used one left over.

Regardless, if Saturday is on, I am taking the car out if it is not finished with a partial MOT, then will argue the toss if I am pulled.

John has just come up with more parts needed, drive flange, wishbone bush, side light switch, plus the hazard switch, wheel bearing, new headlight.

I have the last three, but no chance of the others, so a no go for me. If we had managed it I would have not been able to tax it as it is a PO job and they are closed today. However that would not have bothered me as it was DVLA's fault.

Kenny, you can get cover by e-mailing Steve or Mary, explained the position and arranged it with them yesterday. I am the opposite to you, I have to e-mail to cancel it.

Heading up tomorrow for a look. If anybody wants to sell a space I'll take it. Otherwise I'm happy to just meet up and watch.

I've had one person drop out overnight, so there is a slot available now. If you can make it for 8am to sign on (remember you drivers licence) then I can get you signed on.

Cheers

John
