I think that the AD08R are perhaps the best all rounder, and will be the best for a March Spa trip.
i also think that they may be just as quick in the dry as ZZR,s but not used them in hot weather, where i think ZZR,s will come out on top.

Although the sun does shine at Spa in March...sometimes, the track temp will still be low.

Last March trip, we had heavy snow on the motorway on the way there, and the track was closed when we arrived, bit it was open after lunch, sun came out and had a cracking couple of days.

Mike and I lapped together a few times on Frolic and it was quite funny watching his AD08's going off at Paul Riccard after a few hard laps, the ZZR's on mine just kept going, I couldn't get them to go off at all, they seemed to get better with heat if anything. In the dry they do seem better.

You enjoyed my car at Dony with them on Stu, so much so that you had difficulty not hitting the rev limiter with frequency I noticed.

I reckon you had Falken Ziex's, Robin. 2 of them were kindly donated to the Skoda in 2012 and have only just been renewed. With more Falkens :-)

My exige has still got the same front ZZR's tyres from when Scott Robson took it to SPAZ.
I've done about 10 track days in it too!

:damnfunny

The harder I tried the quicker they went off!

ZZR for summer,
AD08's for winter trackdays :thumbsup

LOL - I'll leave the ZZR for genuine heros and will go for some AD08R ... note that valuetyres.co.uk has them about £75 a set less than camskill.

Cheers,
Robin

Yes, see you there - I won't be leaving here until a bit later than that as (a) I won't have my car and (b) I haven't even started to get the bits and pieces together I need :-)

Sounds good Pete. Remember check in closes at 16:15 so you may want to leave slightly earlier in case there's any hold ups.

Robin are we going via A68?

I'll take a shabby trolley jack, also a set of hex sockets and splined bits. They make me feel better. Oh and a torque wrench, you know those fancy ones with the dial?
Well it's the other sort.

Presently cleaning car. Well applying more tape to it.

And packing, well running round in circles.

(Not neatly, not like compass and pencil, more like a dog on a lead going mental.)
