Hi,
I felt free to do a bit of research for a place to stay in Amsterdam for the 19th, and found two similar hotels at the Oosterpark. (google/maps for exact location)
Situated south of central (benefit when leaving for France) and with closed car park. One with camera's, the other one has security all night.
Twinrooms at 129,-/room, price is for flexible in terms of cancellation. Price could go down to 118,- for fixed, no cancellation possibilities and confirmation required asap.
Car parking is 20,-/night. (welcome to Amsterdam...)
group discount from off 9 rooms.
I'm still looking for other options ... that is, if you like me to continue.
euh, how many are planning to stay for a night in Amsterdam? :D

Spoken to my mate who has suggested NH Hotels. the ones that have parking are on the list below

http://www.nh-hotels.com/nh/en/hotels/t ... ult&stext=

Number 8 on the list looks like a decent shout - doesnt seem to be right in the centre but close enough and rooms from 118E per night - this might be the one Dominque has found as it appears to be near the Oosterpark as well.

From the list earlier on I think there are about 10-12 of us going to the Dam so we would need 5-6 rooms assuming people are happy to share

Any thoughts??

Happy to share as well.

I might visit the hotel very soon, to see if there's any obstacles for the lower cars.
My GF lives a 10 minute walk from the NH hotel.

I'm a bit late organising things as per usual! Still need to book the ferry - anyone still needing a roomie for the Thursday night crossing?

And stick me down for the night in Amsterdam - quite happy to share a room.

Easy imo, I suggest a nice place under the trees? :-)
