I saw Tut's exploits on FB and then looked to one side to see,my own father, 2 years younger then Tut, fast asleep on the couch after a strenuous day watching cricket and doing a crossword.

Some photos lifted from FB.

Other phrases along the lines of "I am having the best time EVER" have been deleted as I hate them all.

Yup, it's been a great trip so far :D

Hethel was great, not much run off but surprisingly fast and tricky, it appeared everyone enjoyed it, I certainly did!
That's the first track day I've ever been to (car or bike) where nobody has came off the black stuff, the fact that the armco is very close (right at the edge of the track in one place) most likely contributes to that.
It was great to have a quick factory tour and see where our cars have been built. Some of the guys also went to visit Classic Lotus, lots of good reports about that too.

The weather has been fantastic all the way and today at Spa was no exception.

What can I say about Spa? It's an amazing circuit in a beautiful setting. The sighting laps left me quite apprehensive, there's a fair few 100mph corners and many downhill bends too, it's very up and down, a fact that just doesn't come across on TV.
After a few more laps though I began to remember the way round, it was fantastic, can't say anything more!

Again, if anyone had an off I never noticed, didn't see a red flag all day. I did find out though that the astroturf at the side of La Source is grippier than it looks :thumbsup

So we're at Zolder now in a great hotel right next to the pits, Hotel De Pits funnily enough.

Looking forward to another challenge tomorrow going round this old F1 circuit, it's been a blast so far!

This is the first time I've done anything like this, what Paul at LOT has organised is fantastic, can't fault it.

Sat in Brussels airport supping a post-SpaZ pint, awaiting my flight back to Edinburgh. Been a fantastic trip, with great company and great racetracks.

Good luck to those heading on to Snetterton & Cadwell; and also to those making their way home at the moment / tomorrow!
