So who carries a warning triangle, bulb kit etc with them then? Breathalyser too?

Pretty much set to go, oil and brake fluid changed last night to go faster stuff! Probably going to order a metal rear number plate with a Euro symbol too as the current has taking a roosting from the back box and cant see it lasting FF tbh

Also booked on the 5.20 pm train with DDtB so should hopefully make it there in time for BigD's slot with the way the roads are looking currently!

Anyone know of an iPhone holder that clips onto the heating vents in an Elise?

I've got a smallish iPhone holder that is suction windscreen mounted and relatively discreet. I think I got it in Asda and saw its recently for much more than I paid. :)

My arms aren't as long as yours hence wanting something that clips on the vent

Interesting, but unless I've missed something, it is convoluted to get to from the north and east, and better held off for a wee daytrip on a rest day? And adds a further hour to the journey. Def need to get there though :-)

Current Sunday route - https://goo.gl/maps/jK4y2

Note - last bit that loops way south is simply a "fastest way to Orange from end of twisty bits" and diverting towards Nyons is an option.

Did you pick your Sunday route for any particular reason? Mine is based on some input from the early Stelvio 1999 route book, although my brother is going to try to talk me into some other better roads tonight...
Campbell, we could still meet up in Metz and travel down a bit and have lunch together before splitting after that. Have you a route planned from Metz to Geneva? Hendeg booked the hotel for the Saturday and was a choice halfway from Luxenbourg to Orange. The place is called Monthieux and is just to the north-east of Lyon.

If you want to meet up on the Sunday around the Grenoble area and head south then that could be an idea as we have all Sunday to get to Orange. I was looking for a route that took us off of the motorway and Grenoble, Serres, Nyons looked a good alternative to sitting on the motorway and not seeing much of France.

Monday been planned for us:

Monday 17th August – arrive at Sanary-sur-mer for 10.30am – Sanary is a great town overlooking the Med. Claude has put a lot of time and effort into this visit and visited Sanary a number of times. The mayor has sealed off parking on the main street by the front and arranged for the cars to be looked after. Enjoy the town and beach until 14.15-14.30 before heading off to Paul Ricard circuit. Everyone should arrive at Paul Ricard for 15.00hrs

I'm in for the Alps after. :thumbsup

Steve,

I don't think the two groups' paths are crossing sensibly any more, so I think you should just be Napoleon and lead Team Zandy right through to Orange. We'll see you in the bar!

My brother's insights (originally from Scotty) have offered up a juicier route for Sunday...but it runs a fair way away from Grenoble I'm afraid.

So Team Zenos (as we are now known) will be doing:

St Quentin to Geneva (Saturday) - https://goo.gl/maps/CVQtg - 7 hrs

Geneva to Orange (Sunday) - https://goo.gl/maps/MPhp4 - 7h 36

If we depart between 8-9am on each day, we'll make each destination by beer o'clock :-)

Hopefully those are the last amendments. I need to concentrate on finishing some work for the next few days...
